I wonder if the 131 page affidavit will reveal and record those in the city who placed sports bets with the Pork or Red on City time using City paid for cell phones.
I think that Mayor Cherepko and Solicitor Elash should internally investigate this before the City is embarrassed with more negativity in the news media.
Are the Mayor and/or Solicitor know to place wagers on sporting events?

The search warrant affidavit should be able to confirm or deny if the solicitor or mayor did any sports betting with the Pork corrupt organization.

Who cares who bets on what??? Do YOU bet on sporting events?? Do you play bingo?? Do you put your name in a block(s) on a football poll??? Do you bet on NCAA tournament games?? Ever put your name in a block on a Super Bowl pool (especially a Steeler one)? If you say no to everything you are the first person I've ever met that bets on NOTHING!!

It seems like Porky has a template for running a successful gambling operation. Thanks to elected officials like Brewster and Cherepko and of course the McKeesport Police Department.

Here is the point. If they were to run up large gambling debts, they could be influenced by their creditors to do things against the city's best interest.

"Children dying in the crossfire, parents getting killed, gang violence, DRUGS DRUGS AND MORE DRUGS those are real problems. Why don't you care about that???"

Every citizen I know is concerned about the rampant crime and drugs in Mckeesport.

The better question is what are THEY (the Mayor and his team)doing about it? The Mayor's first plank in his platform was to stop the violent crime in the city. How is that working out so far? What is the body count on his watch?

In my opinion the king pin of this was former Mayor and now Senator Brewster. He organized it all with Porky. Porky did not take over the City when Mike was elected, how owned it a long time.

Do not forget that famous Brewster quote, "the pork is always here when we need him." Thanks Jimmy for helping with your self indictment. The authorities will check into the Circus videos Jimmy.

We must wait for the daily exposure truth from the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Their reports have a wealth of resources to ferret out the facts and truth. The Daily News is a member of the Brewster, Gergely, and Cherepko defense. They should use the DN in college to illustrate biased reporting.

I would certainly think that the mayor would accept ANY an ALL help from AG Kane to help curb and end the violence in the city. Yes I understand what you're saying about buying influence. But I gotta tell you $3,000 wouldn't buy anybody that I know of's vote. I didn't read anything about the mayor or rep owing gambling debts? It's still wrong yes. And a true disappointment, inexcusable, awful, just another black eye that our community doesn't deserve. All I'm saying is that in the big scheme of things I believe that we have bigger problems...

You are correct we have more than video machine problems. All elected official see all murders and shooting as tragic incidents with no possible financial benefit for the elected official.

Whereas, is would be a stretch not to believe if there could some direct of indirect financial benefits to crimes of gambling, sport betting, prostitution, drug trade, and loan sharking. These are so called passive crimes, whereas shooting are active crimes that require immediate police response and Pittsburgh news media coverage.

The problems are solved when investigations for ANY CRIME are launched via a formal complaint, subpoenas issued, evidences obtained, interviews, indictments, plea bargains, trials, indictments, and penalties/incarcerations. This applies to ALL CRIMES.

Your so called big problems have to start with a complaint, etc. This so called, small or insignificant problem (video games)seems to be proceeding according to the normal legal process.

To conclude, who thinks they have the responsibility to process the bigger crimes? The victims, the citizens, Mayor, Police Chief, DA, AG. FBI, US Attorney, County Police, State Police, City Council, County Council, MHA, RDCM, or MACM? Therein, is the problem, not to mention they need hard evidence and reputable witnesses.
