I just heard about a Ghost town that was built near McKee, off of 89.

Can anyone verify this, and how to get there?

Thanks!!!

You're talking about Ralph Marcum's old western town, it's up Hooten Hollow on Indian Creek.

About a mile up Sand Lick road on the right. Travis and his town are exceptional.

Yeah they're open for visitors, it's best to call first though. You can pick up local information at the Jackson County visitors Center at the top of big hill. It's open Saturday and Sunday 1 PM to 6 PM

I was able to visit ~Oakwood Acres~ today and speak with Mr. Travis Sparks. I had the best day ever! He is a wonderful man. I felt as if I had stepped back in time. It is too bad that more people aren't aware of this jewel! Also, I have met the best people in Jackson County during my studies. Everyone has been so friendly and willing to help!
