I know that everyone thinks that pike is just the greatest job ever but i bet you dont work there!! I worked there a fairly goood while and i can tell you, if your not a Bingham or a Coffey your not goin to go to far up the totum pole. For years i watched people ram their noses up Danny and Wilburns ass so far they could probably tell what they had for lunch! Im sorry to say this but its just a damn shame you have to be an ass kisser or tattletale to make it anywhere at a multi-million dollar company! Im not saying that everyone is like that cause hell i have alot friends that still work there, i just think that changes are inevitable for the company to survive and if they are not made watch and see if they don't face some hard times!!!!!

They're in a hurry to get home to see mama after being gone all week and and they aren't getting paid for this drive time. If the law would write a ticket to a few of them maybe the word would get out and this would slow them down. It's an accident waiting to happen

What do you mean, bottom of Big Hill? That's a joke! How often do we see a police officer in that area? Thought so! Anyhow, for the ones that want to drive 100 m.p.h., they know where to slow down.

I was,nt talkin about the way they drive, even though you are right i was just sayin they treat there workers like slaves! No matter how much you do or how hard you try its never enough! When Wilburn Coffey retires the company will stand a chance of being a good place to work again, till then we will all set back and watch it go to hell in a handbasket, and to lol suck one cause i know i make more than you, assface!!!!!!
should all do it

Once up on a time Pike was a good place to be employed but we now have other companies coming in and bidding on the jobs and Pike has to take the contracts at a lower bid and this lower bid is passed on to the employees. I can see in the near future, Mexico employees will hold the percentage of their employees. The government pay on the storms is about all that continues to keep Pike afloat and they can pad the paper work and take the tax payers for a financial ride. But getting back to the drivers, yes something has to be done about their drivers and for me, I plan to carry Pikes' phone# and call in on these nuts

You rats need to grow a pair balls and organize this rat company
all now union free

Virgie, KY

It's not anything about doing any growing. It's all about saving a life. Try to organize a union and see how long you are employed there. They will plant drugs on you, fire you, and you can kiss your unemployment good-by because you sure won't be drawing any. Funds have to be paid by each company and they sure the heck aren't going to replace what they pay out on you because of trying to organize a union. I'm 100% for a union but anymore they aren't operated correctly. Had to have to much pay and benifits and companies couldn't compete so it was off to foreign land like Mexico, etc.

Its like any other job in the world its all about who/what you know. Go to work for JE and it will be the exact same way except you'll get to be home every night. And what does how much you make have anything to do with what you know? Im sure there are plenty of stupid ppl that work for pike, just because you make good money doesnt make you anything.
Quit crying about your job on topix and be a real man and say something. Stand for whats right or quit. Seriously, how old are you... 10? Say all that to Wilburns face.

you have to be in with the politicians or know someone high up in J.C. To even be considered for a job at Jackson Energy. Not everyone is special enough to get a job there. Why would anyone go to Wilburn unless they wanted fired and not to mention nothing will be done anyway. That's his boys. He's gotta take care of them

There's so many other conpanies popping up in all states, I expect Pike to become a company of the past or at least cut the employees' pay and benifits to where they are able to compete with these other elecrical compines that are already under-bidding them on the contracts. Pike is already a long way down on the list as for job performance.

He's always taken care of his picks so why would Wilburn want to stop now and if you want to be hired at Jackson Energy just join the church they attend and live like a two face working yourself into hell.
