I just read that 7 out of 10 respondents are for abortion. People say save the baby whales and I am for that, save the baby anything but human babies seems to be o.k. Where was I supposed to respond? I didn`t get a call or letter, did I miss a poll online?
Folks if it was alright to kill an unborn baby anything would go, but you cannot justify that. If two doctors said the mother nor baby would live unless the baby was taken that might be something to consider. Women have rights but neither man nor woman has the right to murder. IF A WOMAN HAS THE RIGHT TO DO WHAT SHE WANTS WITH HER BODY AND THAT INCLUDES MURDER, then maybe our guns should be taken and scapels too.

Are you against abortion in cases of rape, incest, or to save the woman's life?

My opinion is that in cases of rape and incest the child should be put up for adoption if not wanted by the mother. People are praying and crying for a baby.
If there should a case where only the mother or baby could live the mother would have to make that decision. It would be really hard for some people.
I`m not against guns, what I was saying is if we have gotten so low that someone can have an abortion almost on demand we might deserve to be without guns.

You are not being real clear. Are you saying you are not against abortion or the woman's right to choose in cases where the woman's life is in danger? Pretend you were asked this question in a survey...

Which is closest to your view on abortion?

(A) Abortion should always be legal.
(B) Abortion should be legal most of the time.
(C) Abortion should be illegal except on cases of rape, incest, and to save the mother's life.
(D) Abortion Should be illegal without any exceptions.
(E) Not sure

Your answer to the survey can only be A, B, C, D, or E. Don't worry, be honest, I promise it isn't a trick question or anything, LOL.

As for guns, I don't see any reason to connect guns with the issue of abortion. However, I think if society is in such a corrupted condition that is all the more reason for us to have guns for our self-protection and defense. I cannot see why "we" should not have the right and means to protect ourselves because "we" cannot control all of society.

Why? Unless you know of someone pregnant with a litter of pups what does that have to do with this "abortion" topic?

So, apparently if you would have gotten a call to answer a poll or do the survey on abortions you would have simply hung up on them without answering.

And no, based on your post I am thinking your answer would be either (C),(D), or (E). However, I am not sure which one.

I`ll make this personal as to what I would do:
If I had an expectant wife and she was in the hospital in a coma and could not speak for herself, and the doctor came to me and said,"we can`t save both your wife and child, if we do an abortion your wife will live" I would tell him to do the abortion.I want people in this country to have guns to protect themselves and family. I do agree on background checks we don`t want mentally ill people and people who are a convicted criminal having guns.(but if they want them they will get them anyway). Maybe I should go back to school and learn how to say things more clearly. Above is the only way I approve abortion. People will adopt a child born out of rape and incest. I see your C choice different than you. I believe rape, incest shouldn`t be linked with,"to save the mother`s life.

I normally do hang up on people wanting to sell something and on call about politics. I hope that if I had gotten a call about abortion that I would have stayed on long enough and when I learned it was about abortion said only to save a mothers life.

You were the one complaining in post #1 that you didn't get a survey call. You asked where you were supposed to respond to the survey. Then, when given a chance to respond to a question from the survey here on this forum, you refused to take it.

If you would have received the call and stayed on line long enough to say "only to save a mother's life"...then your only option would have been to pick option (C) from the post above. As such, media or others could twist that around to say you are for abortions since you are for them if it is to save the mother's life.

My point? Do not fall for everything you hear in the news or out of the mouths of someone like Alex Jones or Rush Limbaugh. I too read a report about 7 out of 10 being for abortions; it immediately raised questions in my mind as to just exactly how they came up with that number.

Here are the facts about the survey...1,000 people were asked if they would like for the Supreme Court to completely overturn its 1973 Roe v. Wade decision. This is where they got 7 out of 10 are for abortions, because 70% answered "No, do not overturn."

However, here is the kicker...when these 1,000 people were first asked if they approve or disapprove of Roe v. Wade, 39% answered "Approve," 18% answered "Disapprove," 41% answered "Don't know enough to have opinion," and 2% answered "Not sure."

Nearly half the respondents didn't know enough about Roe v Wade to have an opinion. Maybe they thought overturning Roe v. Wade would prevent abortions in the case of where it would save the mother's life. Who knows?

When the respondents were asked the question I asked you in post #6...31% said "Always legal," 23% said "Legal most of the time," 35% said "Illegal with exceptions," 9% said "Illegal without any exceptions," and 2% said "Not sure."

Although even these numbers are highly questionable as to actually meaning these people are for abortions, they show that 54% of the respondents said abortions should be legal. Perhaps some meant they should be legal in cases where it would save the mother's life?

Still yet, take into consideration 41% of the respondents said they didn't know enough about Roe v. Wade to have an opinion and that is about all you need to know as to how much value can be placed on this survey. Regardless, it is a far cry from 7 out of 10 people being FOR abortions as many in the media are spinning it to mean by twisting the numbers and facts.

http://msnbcmedia.msn.com/i/MSNBC/Sections/A_...

Now, just think, LOL, if you would have refused to answer the survey question as you did on here...that would have been one less respondant against abortions being legal. I guess they would have had to call someone else who probably answered that they think abortions should be legal in all cases.

I agree with you! Good gosh, I know I am a stubborn arse sometimes, but trying to have a discussion with some on here can be like trying to shove an overweight camel through the eye of a needle. If you don't want to have a discussion about something, then why start a thread on a public discussion forum?

It wasn't my (C) choice. I was trying to show you how they twist most surveys to where you cannot give the answer you want. Then, when you pick from thier options, they twist the results to say something you never said to begin with.
