I think its those nasty Johnsons and I think that it is pretty normal for them. They stink and are dirty people. I would like to tell whoever that the election is over and Denny won so there is no need for that ugly eyesore sign. Sand Gap has always been the Counties disgrace.

Everyone knows what and where the “main” eyesores are located. Starting (roughly) at the frosty death and goes till (about)true val-screw-u. Its been a horrible sight for years!

I had a college friend (who had never been to jc) come to visit, and this was one of the first things he talked about the junky, trashy gap stretch.

The way a lot of properties around here are kept does not reflect well on any of us.

We have KRS rules addressing this problem. Its called being a “public nuisance”

http://www.lrc.ky.gov/search.idq

381.770 Abatement of nuisance -- Exceptions -- Enforcement ordinance -- Lien -- Personal liability of property owner.

Start fining these people, turning down building permits, and business licenses

SAND GAP is not the disgrace... The disgrace is the junk people leave laying around..We got the junk where the old station was, we got the "nastiness" next to the Holiness Church at Deer Stables which is the Berry's.... I would like to see these messes cleaned up too, but you don't have to be a b**** about it.....There is junk all over this county, including Mckee, Tyner, Gray Hawk and Annville... So dont think you are any better than someone who lives in Sand Gap!!!!!!!!!!

That part of the gap looks like a part of Manchester. It just looks dirty and is dirty. It has been that way for years. I agree they are junk all over our county but the gap is the worst. I took my husband that way one time to Richmond and that is all he talked about. How dirty it was. So now we drive to London and go the interstate. I don't like looking at it so I don't.

Well you are obviously one of the "junkers". Sorry but I dont receive SSI/welfare, I have a job that pays very well. I keep my property clean because unlike you I have pride. I understand that the way my property and home looks is a reflection of me, my integrity, and possibly my business.

I understand mechanics needing parts but they should be smart enough to build a fence!

I mean how would people react if grocery stores stored old rotting meat and vegetables out in the open next to the highway?

Its usually a family thing also, most of the “ junkiest” trashiest people are related. Ignorance is bliss!

If you had integrity you would keep your nose out of working peoples buisness.

I know the Johnsons are good people and they can bring their bussiness and live next door to me anytime. People don't know what bad neighbors are until you have to live beside them. Dallas and Dale, come on over here to Annville, bring your used auto parts bussiness and load your family up and come on over. You're welcome!

People need to either learn to live with it or move. It must not be that bad as the ones that have moved away have either come back home or they want to come back. The issue at hand will never change as there are too many votes involved. Our last sheriff would have won the election if he hadn't made the Johnsons mad. Get the picture?
