Closing of Vets Home Draws Fire

A state senator from Macon criticized the proposed closing of a war veterans home in Milledgeville, and a group of state legislators wants to hear more about the home and whether it should be closed.

I have a father-in-law in the home who is 83 years old! Where will he go? He only has one leg! He gave a part of his life for our county and he should be helped now!

IT IS A DISGRACE TO CLOSE A HOME THAT IS BEING ENJOYED BY OUR VETERANS, BUT IT SEEMS THAT THE
AMERICANS HAVE GOT THEIR FREEDOM THE HECK WITH THE ONES THAT HAVE GOTTEN IT FOR THEM!
MAYBE SOME OF THESE GUTLESS WONDERS THAT ARE ENJOYING THE FREEDOMS SHOULD GIVE THE ACTIVE
DUTY FELLOWS A BREAK!

If they want to close the home, they should first have to serve one ACTIVE term in the military before they are allowed to vote it.
