This lil town has raised a lot of kids that grew up poor and would like to think most get out while they can. Have tons of good memories here. And very bad ones too.

i'm just sayin ken. mchenry is no different than any other place in this county...it's so typical for everyone to say mchenry is horrible horsebranch is horrible..but when it comes right down to it, hartford and beaver dam is just the same. so why are you so quick to say it's such a horrible place?

Dude I lived in Mchenry for almost 17 years I know how the town is. Not much going on in that town at all. I would love to see more folks from Mchenry chime in on this blog. Didn't say anything about horse branch know very little about it.

Well, I have lived in Mchenry all my life. I'm 25 year's old and i love this place!!! Yeah, it's boring most of the time, but you just gotta find something to do that's all!!! there are all kind's of land to ride four wheeler's, Ponds and lakes to fish, I guess it's just a matter of opinion and how country you are;)

I have lived here for about 34 years, I LOVE MCHENRY, I have lived in a couple other states also, and at least you can let your kids out to play here without constantly keeping your eyes on them, or worry about going to the store and getting mugged, unlike living in memphis,TN.. so be thankful, i know i am, sure wouldn't want to raise a child in a big city, thank god for small towns!!
