my heart goes out to nick whose brother was a victim of alcohol, drugs, and associating with toxic friends. Nick, please don't become another victim. you are understandably enraged over the untimely death of your brother. don't let that rage take over your life the way alcohol and drugs took over your big brother. try to use the anger to do something positive in memory of what was good about your brother. He made some bad choices; don't let negativity consume your life. there's a way out of this dark tunnel:try professional counseling, join a group of other survivors who are pissed about the same issues you are. it's something you'll never get over but you can get better. think about what john would want for his kid brother. being consumed with rage isn't much different than being addicted to substances: they both are negative control that'll surely ruin your life.

I agree with the above poster...time for people to take accountability for themselves. If he was living in so much fear why didn't anyone do anything to help him out or get him out of that situation. Terrible that it happened, I feel bad, but this pointing fingers is silly.

Who's silly?? I am sure its a terrible loss...but you can't just go about life blaming everyone for everything. Your bro is dead and its a terrible thing but ultimately he made decisions in his life that drove himself to his addictions. I hope you find a way to recover from this tragedy quickly

When you point a finger to blame others--do you see that your other fingers point right back to you?

How can it be the police's fault that someone who was involved with drugs/alcohol and fleeing and eluding arrest? The cops did not physically force him to take drugs, drink alcohol, associate with bad people, or to make poor choices.

It is a sad, unfortunate, tragic thing that happened. However, people bring things like this upon themselves. It all boils down to choices....You have many many choices in life....if you make poor decisions...you will get poor results.

One word of advice... Do not make any threats. "IM COMING FOR YOU!!!!" Not a good idea. Seek some help with your thoughts. I really feel your anger dude, but don't lower your self to their level. Your loss is a lesson for every body who reads this. Go on and mourn your loss, and be angry. Just don't do anything that you WILL regret. Trust me, not worth it.

Keep our thoughts to ourselves? Get off stupid message boards then! Nobody should pay...you need to deal with your grief. Find someone you trust to talk to or maybe seek some counseling to help you get over your pain. This is not something you go through alone!
