I can turn down a drink. I can choose to stop at one drink or two drinks or three drinks. So I guess I'm not an alcoholic then?

I can do the same thing, but I never know when I will choose to have more than a couple and that always leads to trouble. The longer I drank, the more often that happened. I am definitely an Alcoholic.

I don't know any real alcoholics that would seriously want to be a social drinker. Most alcoholics liked the effect they felt when drinking, not to be social. One drink led to another and soon another and the another. One is too many and a thousand is not enough.

Apparently there are a lot of “FAKE” alcoholics that do though. I apologize for the sarcasm but I don’t think anyone would falsely claim to be an alcoholic.

Any alcoholic (99%) that claim they want to be social drinkers have trouble being honest with themselves and/or others. PROMISE

i always liked the effects alcohol gave me.i felt like i fit in anywhere ,and with anyone .i felt confident ,and super smart, and had no fears of anyone ,or anything.i have lied to people saying i just drank socially just to wind up drunk ,and making a fool of myself.it was a big first step for me to admit i am an alcoholic.a whole new world opened up for me when i worked the 12 steps, and work them daily in order to stay sober.

OK I admit, maybe the only reason I stopped at three beers on Oct 31st was because I left the Halloween party immediately.

If I had stayed there all night, I would have had drink after drink after drink until I blacked out.

I have no interest in drinking socially. I just wanna drink as much as possible and get really, really drunk.

I am going to go to a New Year's Eve celebration at some nightclub, and I am going to indulge in the free champagne.
