And a horse race it is, but the residents will not be at the $2.00 window. Let the race begin and hold on to your pocket books.

Before you attend this fundraiser, 10-26-2012 please be informed. The VVP’s Village of Justice trustee Suzanne “Sue” Small at the April 23, 2012 regular meeting introduced a motion to approve the designation of Special Service Areas for street reconstruction. What they forgot to mention is the fact that the residents’ real state taxes will be raised to the tune of about $500 to a $1000 or more as the years go by to pay for this political endeavor.
So please, attend this political function which YOU will be asked to pay $20.00(more money for politicians), and ask the Village Voice politicians if we are better off now, than we were at the last village election, and if they have heard of our failing economy and our state unemployment rate of almost 10%
before Suzane “Sue” Small and her cohorts raise our real state taxes.

I guess that the VVP can thank you for the free promotion for their event.

What's your parties plan on repairing the streets? Or just your plan in general?

Must be election season the mug slinging is already beginning. When will you idiots get a clue that the residents are tired of all the mug slinging and just want some answers?

I don't think is free promotion, actually it is a warning for those who are not aware of the goin-ons
at the village meetings. ONCE REAL ESTATE TAXES INSTALLED THEY DON'T COME OFF IT JUST KEEPS GROWING LIKE FUNGUS.

People keep complaining about taxes. What they do not understand is the fact that we need taxes to pay for our crooked politicians AND POLICE DEPT pensions and all of the patronage workers that are collecting free money. To get an example of that all you have to do is look at Public works and the Building dept. Patronage workers that are probably bilking the tax payers out of hundreds of thousand of dollars, Tax dollars I might add. Lets send a massage to these politicians NO ADDITIONAL REAL ESTAE TAXES for Justice.

The following commenters have obviously not been to the board meeting refered to. Concerned Resident is speculationing in his/her mind about an event that never happened. Fast Eddie is just plain old confused. last laugh clearly doesn't understand special service areas. The street repairs, that people want, were looked at and the projected price is too much to ask residents to pay. That issue died like 6 months ago. Make up another issue guys, we are anxiously waiting.

You people are so misinformed Try looking at all the good the mayor and current board has accomplished so far. For one the village will be operating in the black for the first time in decades. The police department is on the mend due to the current mayor and board So yes the elections are coming so let the games begin however mayor kris and the current board have been doing a good job. What communtiity doesn't have taxes increased ? I vote for the current administration.

Clearly, no one has a plan. It's just the usual pre election poop flinging using the same hot button words like 'patronage'.

The Mayor will be out shaking hands to try to save his and the clerk's jobs for another four years. Oh and maybe his pitbull enforcers too if hesheruns again.

The village board has been productive but that's mostly due to the board members not the Mayor or Clerk. How many times can a Mayor that isn't doing anything but photo ops get reelected in this town?

Leopards can't change their spots.

I predict another election with the same 8 candidates on both sides saying the same thing who will spend four years with their butts warming chairs at the expense of the residents.

Tisk tisk resorting to grade school name calling is mature. I cannot tell you nor speculate what the future will bring, but balancing the budget and coming out on top during economically challenged times is a HUGE success, and attributes to the current mayor and board...I know the mayor and board will continue to look out for the Village best intrests as you will see with the action against the ones who tarnish the good name of the police department and village..The numbers and facts do not lie..

"You must be one of the "goofs" when you call the village's finances a "huge success" and say the board continues to look for the village's best interest, you must be drinking the koolaid with the rest of the goofs from the Village Voice Party or is it the Coalittion Party of Justice, or does anybody know.

. Fast Eddie you don't see all the good the mayor and current board have done as of late ? Lets see how about helping with misconduct cover up for one . Then there are free pay checks to those who violate policies and laws along with free insurance benefits to the tune of over 30 thousand dollars and counting. Guess the village is so financially stable they can throw money away on attorneys as well. April is not far off so let's start at the board meetings and see why we are giving benefits and money to those on investigative leave ? I want to know who is conducting the investigation into the wrong doings of the police departments chief and why he has been on paid leave for over two months. I also want to see who handles all the money that is being brought in by the red light cameras

Free money, let us know when you will show up to board meeting to find these things out. My belief is you won't because you would rather sit at home and make things up.

I make almost every meeting, so it is you who has no idea what goes on at the meetings If you like I would be happy to introduce myself to you. The chief was placed on PAID leave since sept 25 th. about his involvement with safe speed It was all over the tribune if you read ? Nothing at any board meeting has been addressed about this issue yet and it's nov 26. Figure it out.

Free money, now that we find out there is more to the chiefs problem and that held up action from the board for termination, what have you got to say about your expert knowledge? Admit it, you are just spreading rumors and lies to get your political agenda across. Now you have been busted as someone who maked things up. Reply to this or forever shut your yap.
