This is impossible. No way it happened. Chicago is a gun-free city. Someone made up the story obviously.

What does this have to do with Chicago.

Look at a map and you will see that Bellwood is a suburb, and has nothing to do with Chicago.

these people like clyde don't care. They are only here to push their gun agenda. They are glad people are getting shot so they can push their agenda.

Just for your information. Georgia has a higher murder rate than Illinois and ATlanta's murder rate is double Chicago's.

Carry and Conceal Weapon law like the one in Texas is what Illinois needs.

Police are never around when you need them! They just give you a stupid report after the fact!

No wonder the crime rate in Texas is much lower than Illinois!

Besides that being a simple-minded statement from someone who probably never finished high school, what would you suggest? More gun laws?
How many gun laws have actually prevented tragedies like this? How does a gun law take a gun away from a criminal before he/she commits a crime?
Only criminals use guns to commit crimes. Take all the guns away and the lawful citizens are punished as well. Broad solutions like those are no solutions at all. This isn't a one-size-fits-all society and everyone doesn't think like you do... thank God.

much lower? source please, lol. Illinois and Texas have about the same murder rate.

Btw, Texas' largest city Houston has a higher murder rate then Chicago. Though really Chicago and Houston have similar murder rates. A small difference is not a huge deal.

First of all it's the F-ing summertime there were many children outside at the time. My two year old cousin got shot and all you are worried about is why wasn't she in the house. She was outside with her mother on the porch. You are just as F-ing stupid as the lil boys that did the shooting.

I am so very sorry for your loss. People judge parents for having small children out late at night, not thinking about parents who work non-traditional hours, etc. So they are judged as bad parents but we don't want to help them become more able to provide for their families. I am a social worker in the Proviso area and what I encounter on a daily basis is hard-working, caring folks who may have had some rough breaks in life. Section 8 and Link Cards are a safety net for those who need a hand up, not a hand out. Housing and food should be considered basic needs in this country, the richest in the world. I have a professional degree, but if it weren't for Section 8, a cash grant, food stamps and financial aid when I really needed them (2 small kids, violent husband) I would not have made it though college. And there are more like me who use the program for what it is intended - a means to make a better life for our children. As for the reactions of sending bangers to Iraq, what do you think is already happening? For those young folks who have any drug charges, they are not eligible for financial aid to go to college, but they are relaxing the standards for the military. We are already sending minority kids (and I mean kids) there every day.

Bellwood has about 80 cameras. Do they not work? Have they helped to solve any crimes. Would you rather have more cameras or more officers?

More officers, any day.

Let's see... about 80 cameras (and what was with the one on a tower in back of 3 story apartment building?), four monitors and one person watching and handling dispatch. I'm sure they see everything.

Bellwood cameras don't work they never solve shit cause of the lack of the money to run them. Bellwood is a mob runned village overseen by d bosses that run they're neighbor village Melrose park, and the cops are effen gunho morans rascist prikks!
