Just a small problem when you are assuming that over 375 personnel 2,900 students, 7000 plus parents guardians and others are all in the know about over spending, fraud and the rest of the information shared in the 171page document from the state auditor. It took them months to sort it out. Please think about what you write. I understand the anger an frustration. I too feel frustrated that money meant for our students was spent as if it were their personal funds.

I would love for the Board to reveal in open Board meeting in December the aspects of Moore, Middleton, & Petitt's contracts. I want "43% leadership stipend" explained & why these 3 are the only leaders getting it...or are there others? What perks are they getting that others are not? How scandalous!!

I didn't realize two of us could have the same handle name. I too would like transparency.

It sends a message. Time you people stick up for what is right. Half your teaching staff condoned what happened by not speaking up. They are to blame as much as anyone.
Amen!!!! It sends a message loud and clear. I dont see it as punishing the teachers and children. It teaches your children to stand up for what is wrong and dont support it. I will buy my pics somewhere else. the children arent doing without. My list was 80 dollars this year. How are they doing without? Your not going to tell me they didnt know what was going on also. it was too big for no one to know except 2-3 people my ass.Theres teachers out there a certain speech teacher that should be fired at straub. is she? no. the school is corrupt. theres bullying going on and they turn their heads until they make you angry enough to go out there and show your ass then they want to blame you. im serious thinking of private schools. we have busses that will wait as long as it takes to for a teachers kids but let one of ours not out there and they immediately take off. not even looking they just take off. but it let it be a teachers kids and they will sit there until that little one comes out. mason county has always been about the elite and they have never changed. im sick of them

Not buying or selling items for the schools is not going to solve the problems at hand. Teachers and the schools are not the guilty parties. Teachers are trying to hold their heads up in spite of what is being written in the press. Teachers had no control over the craziness that went on in the past years. They have had to play mother may I for every ordered item. I'm retired and I still feel their pain.
my taxes last week was 561.00 and change plus coming out of my paycheck plus school taxes is on the phone and gas and electric bill. I think they have plenty of help. your just a school teacher probably or board member.

I have an even better idea, since you want to demolish the innocent along with the criminals. How about you shut down all of the Mason County Schools. Put the teachers on the welfare dole along with the other 1000 families in Mason County and you can either teach and care for the thousands of kids yourself or better yet, how about you simply let them get street smart on their own. Parents who actually care for their kids will send them to St. Pat or Highland. Oh, don't forget all of the families that are going to move away to better options. Everything will be great! You will have all the buildings looking like the Orangeburg and Minerva School buildings. Maysville can become the new Over the "Rind"
You've won me over! Down with the teachers! Down with the bus drivers! Down with the janitors and cooks! They deserve it! Since we heard a few stole from us, we should stomp on all of them! Genius idea!
Repetition for you my dear.
Some people never learn. The teachers haven't had a pay raise for years but their bosses have. Doesn't sound like they are in cahoots to me.

oh say what you want i never said a thing about the teachers you idiot other than one. and anyone thats had a child underneath her says the same thing. theres too much favortism that goes on in mason county or else these thieves would already be locked up. catch someone on east end with a loaf of bread being taken out of iga and see how fast they get locked up. legal thieves and you support it. there are very good teachers out there but not all. why didnt they say something? apparently you cant read or you could figure it out. i bet you graduated from mason county also.do you know how many students there is that come out of mason county that cant read or do math. I do i see it everyday where i work at.so you tell me maybe i should think more seriously about private.

You really should send your child to private.
I'm for private schools actually but I feel sorry for public school teachers that have to trying to teach a group of students with mixed IQ's on purpose. It would be like telling Calupari to take a group of mixed ball players from elementary level to nba level to win the title again. Oh and don't yell at them because its your job to make them all come out if equal talents. Talk to any public school teacher and you will see that they are so overwhelmed with their job of teaching kids, Doug paperwork, attending meetings and ARC meetings that they don't have time to run down to the board office to check up on their leaders. Are you serious?

The teachers are busy teaching! The board is responsible for the superintendent! They have the time and responsibility to over see the central office. You voted for the board. The buck stops with Mason County voters and the Board.
I guess it is easier to blame the workers on the bottom of the totem pole though.
Here us a suggestion, vote out West, next time!

You know the Thievin teachers were in on it. They never raised their hand and said this isn't right. As for buying school supplies, don't buy em. Teach the lil [email protected] and quit whining for raises. He'll you only work half a yr anyway. What a joke.

Off two months without pay doesn't equal half a year. 12-6=6
12-2 only equals 2
Oh and you've just won a front row pass to Iraq. They don't believe in teachers either. Strap a bomb on you and your kids and that's all the education you'll need.

To some of you out there this is a joke page. All joking aside. We need to resolve the issues and heal the district. Not everyone in the system is evil, and not everyone know the details. Do employees in the outside world job place ask questions of their bosses? Hostess bakery just shut down due to bosses skimming off the top and failing to take care of their employees retirement plans. I know this is the private sector but most people are too busy doing their jobs to poke their noses into their bosses business. Under paid bookkeepers only do what they are told. The Board approved all that went down and should be held accountable. Each individual who has been accused of wrong doing know what they have done or failed to do. Teachers had no control over the Central office . Even building administrators were in the dark. Things like finances were never discuses at a meeting unless it had to do with a specific school and its finances. These people who think "all" the teachers were in on the conspiracy are living in a dream world. Maybe a few were in the know ,but I state it was only a few as in one or two.

I agree, but we still have some of the same administrators in Central office. As new members on the board they may not be strong and vocal enough to get rid of JW.. The state authorities must intervene. Maybe the teachers should voice their opinion now rather than layer, but in the past teachers who tried to react to harsh treatment or a grievance were treated with no reaction or a pink slip at the end of the year. Lives were ruined and careers . Some of those teachers have given up teaching. All for voicing their opinion concerning two school level administrators harsh and demanding treatment. It is not as ease as it sounds to accuse or collectively raise voices against wrongs.

I agree with you on everything except the Hostess ordeal. Hostess was in bankruptcy and begging the unions to work with them. Unions refused and won. The workers lost their jobs due to greedy unions, read up in the past three years of legal paper postings.
