Point of clarification...I wasn't fired, I fulfilled my contract for first semester & made the appointment with Pace to sign next semester's. Pace said he wasn't extending anyone's contract. However, I'm the only one that had a contract per semester. Just another lie from Moore. It appears the Moore regime is still calling the shots, and I was the target. Enjoying my freedom now.

I wish people were not so fast to judge. Gerald was not the whistle blower. The true blower will be revealed some time in the future. The district lost a good honest man.

Good thing teachers don't think like you. If parents end up in the paper for a crime, the teacher doesn't mistreat the child. If kids dont have a pencil, paper, tissue, clothes or money to pay for different school events, etc., and the parents have just finished cussing out the teacher the night before, the teacher often pays for whatever the child needs and never asks for it back. Teachers and children aren't your enemy. Sometimes I think NEA is because of how hard they lobby for immoral platforms but most of the teachers are smart and caring.
Why do you want to punish the teachers and children?
This is your chance to let the kids and teachers know you are fighting for them and your focus is punishing the offenders, not the innocent.

Not buying or selling items for the schools is not going to solve the problems at hand. Teachers and the schools are not the guilty parties. Teachers are trying to hold their heads up in spite of what is being written in the press. Teachers had no control over the craziness that went on in the past years. They have had to play mother may I for every ordered item. I'm retired and I still feel their pain.

There are many good teachers and staff at the school. There are also many good adminstrators at the building level. Moore, Middleton, & Petitt had created such an atmosphere of fear, that they can only be compared to the Mafia. The general public has no idea of the intimidation that all of the staff has worked under for years. Moore and Middleton are gone, but the fear is still there. It will take a long, long time to repair all the damage that has been done. What no one seems to understand is that everyone needs to be removed before the healing can begin. The complete board needs to be removed, the new super is a joke (friend of Moore & Petitt), and the central office secretaries that were only too willing to hide all the offenses. We can only hope that the IRS will do what they should do and make these thieves accountable for their actions. They have tarnished the school's name and ruined the reputation of a once great school system. The public needs to stand together, as one, and demand that changes be made, immediately.

It sends a message. Time you people stick up for what is right. Half your teaching staff condoned what happened by not speaking up. They are to blame as much as anyone.

I say give the new Supt a chance. He may be a good honest ,hard working Supt. You're judging through association. So if you see me speaking to Tim Moore, and I will if I see him, does that make me a bad person. Don't think so. We're too quick to judge and it's unfair.

And there's something else I forgot to mention, Why would Tim Moore want to pull strings when there's nothing in it for him. I don't buy that.

Oh but biff my friend, there is plenty in it for him. As this Greek tragedy comes to an end, the only salvation is to sink the ship to prove it could not sail without him and that it took a captain like Bligh to succeed. You see, failure now would only prove that he was correct in his assumptions.

Wrong again. They are too busy teaching kids. Most of the teachers don't even know what most of the office people at the central office look like. If you don't believe me, do a survey for yourself and see.

I have an even better idea, since you want to demolish the innocent along with the criminals. How about you shut down all of the Mason County Schools. Put the teachers on the welfare dole along with the other 1000 families in Mason County and you can either teach and care for the thousands of kids yourself or better yet, how about you simply let them get street smart on their own. Parents who actually care for their kids will send them to St. Pat or Highland. Oh, don't forget all of the families that are going to move away to better options. Everything will be great! You will have all the buildings looking like the Orangeburg and Minerva School buildings. Maysville can become the new Over the "Rind"
You've won me over! Down with the teachers! Down with the bus drivers! Down with the janitors and cooks! They deserve it! Since we heard a few stole from us, we should stomp on all of them! Genius idea!
