Someone said they heard from someone that someone got a picture with the Zach guy from the show Ghost Adventures in downtown Maysville. Anyone have any info on it? Were they investigating Hayswood Hospital or the Opera House?

They are in town and will be filming for a good bit of the week.
Look for a story in Thursday's edition. We have an interview set up for tomorrow.

I heard they were investigating Phillips' Folly, but I wouldn't be surprised if they stayed around to investigate some more places around town. I'm hoping that's the case anyway.

A friend of mine called and told me they were at Wal-Mart (not investigating),they met them and said they were investigating Hayswood Hospital and a few other locations. I took a drive down that way earlier but didnt see anything. Ponto, do you know if it will be aired on Ghost Adventures on the Travel Channel? If so, when?

Everyone knows the only thing lurking around Hayswood Hospital is crackheads and asbestos...ha ha

I doubt they are investigating Haywood Hospital, the owners never let anyone in there.
And if you believe half of the people who claim to have been in there the place would be busier than Grand Central Station.

There is nothing Haunted about the Hospital, I know quite a few people who were there before it closed down.

I heard they were staying at that place behind Tumbleweed.

Here is a question how come ghost never haunt Walmart parking lots or trailer parks? People die in those places all the time.
Ever notice how its always big old scary condemned buildings?

If were a ghost I would not be hanging around those places I would be haunting a strip club or at least some place with cable TV.

sorru ronin, i usually stay out of disagreements with you as i dont like to argue on and on for ages about something that probably ultimately means nothing... but... that hospital definitely has spirits in it. ive definitely witnessed it myself.

they used to dispose of stillborn babys in the hospital (fire), and you can definitely hear babys crying if you hang out long enough over night. that was YEARS ago though , before the floors started falling in and the place became so dangerous to be in.

i wouldnt recommend anybody go into that place these days, you really could get yourself hurt (and not by a ghost).

i wish theyd go to the opera house and that house across from the courthouse that is being/has been remodeled (hope that didnt chance the activity).

they say you can see the women who hung herself there in the top windows a couple of times a year

I was downtown yesterday renewing my tags on my car and saw them. They are filming at the Phillips Folly house. I saw a couple of guys on the front pourch so I went over and tried to get a photo and find out more info. The guys were inside taking a tour of the house and speaking with the owners so I didn't get to speak to them but the producer said that they were going to be locked down in the house on Thursday night. My guess is that means they are going to be locked down tonight cause they don;t want people coming around bothering them. LOL It also makes since that they would give an interview today so it would come out in the paper tomorrow. Oh well I say we all go down tonight and run with sheets over our heads and scare the hell out of them. LOL

me and my wife went down there one time in the day time, and i walked in a couple of feet and just stood there and looked around for a bit, and never seen anything at all that gave me the creeps. its just another old beat up worn down abandon building. i'm not buying into the whole "ITS HAUNTED" crap. i believe in ghosts and all but i just dont believe the hayswood hospital is haunted one bit you sumbitches.

I love these guys and hope they are here to do some filming. I think the best place would be the opera house. That place is spooky and they have had paranormal teams there before, this is a fact. I wonder if they are trying to throw the public off. It would be a good idea because people in this town would camp out around the Folly house just to get a picture of them coming out. I know I would love to meet them. Catch us some ghost Zak, Nick, and my favorite Aaron.

Yeah,
Behind the Opera House and the red brick across from the new courthouse lies the Old Maysville Cemetery. You can access from the sidewalk next to the museum. I frequent there couple times a year.

The Opera House has good stories behind it, but none are substantiated. I still tend to believe the rumors about a lady actress hanging herself in the dressing room over a lost love. Believe her stage name was Pinky, can't remember her real name from the rumor.

Ronin, you can get in to the hospital with special permission and a purpose. However, people still get in all the time. The name of the hotel you describing is called The Hampton Inn. It's not haunted... Ohh and your still an idiot...

Jeremy Parnell had posted an awesome video of a ghost in the window you can find on youtube. If you can't find it I think I still have a copy I can post somewhere.

Funny that I see that owner just about every Sunday, and he does not let anyone in there. Yes there are special exceptions, like building inspectors, etc.

But the last group I know of who had permission who were not there to make sure the building was not falling in were the guys who made that movie.

Yes people do try to sneak in but most of them get caught and run off.

No the Hampton Inn is not haunted, that was an inside joke that you didn't get Donna.

LMAO at the part where you mentioned ronins name LMAO. I Seen the jeremy parnell clip of the hayswood hospital on the maury povich show a few years ago when he had a special on ghosts and such. it was pretty cool but really short. not sure if i believe that clip or not. i believe in ghost and such but im the kind of person that really needs to see it in person. its hard to trust anyones videos clips when they are always hazy and grainy looking. nobody ever seems to be able to show a good clear video of a ghost or anything. why is that?

I think you are absolutely correct, Casey. They may be doing more than one place. Have to have a whole hours worth of film, ya know.

That video is just someone standing in the window, a live person.
I have seen a few pics and vids that would have a hard time to be passed off as fake. I believe in spirits, ghosts or whatever you want to call them, but like stupid drunk said I also have to see it in person. I have had a few experiences where it scared the sh!t out of me, so yeah I believe, but not some of of the crap people put out there to get attention.
