There is a special called board meeting at 6 pm at the MC board office on Monday, October 29! Be there to let your voices be heard! It's time to stand up to these thieves and demand them to be fired and as board members, resign! Rally your fellow taxpayers!! There is strength and solidarity in numbers!!

Takes a 4 out 5 votes to remove a Superintendent. Then all the grounds are required to be placed in the minutes. The Commissioner of Education has to approve the removal within 30 days.

Interested to see how this plays out. If they vote to remove him for cause, the board is basically saying he committed fraud. I doubt any board member wants to put in the minutes that the Super committed fraud, because they benefited from it. Look up Official Misconduct 1st and 2nd Degree. I don't know how this board can function.

If it's really about the kids, they just need to resign in mass.

i think him and all his cronies should be fired and prosecuted, don't just let them resin to draw retirement, they have stole too much already!!!!!
they are no differnt than the common theif on the street, a theif is a theif,no matter what or how much was stolen!!!!! prosecute, prosecute, prosecute
i look forward to reading their names on jailtracker.if they dont prosecute them, then they should go to MCDC and let all who have stole something out of jail, big and small!! it would only be fair!!

Everyone needs to call the board office and paper to ask to have the meeting at the fieldhouse. The old band room downtown won't hold all the people and there is no place to park. We need everyone to come out!

If this is a "special" meeting, will the public be allowed to attend? My concern is they will say this is a closed meeting. However, I will be there even if I have to stay outside. We need to make a stand and let them see us, even if we are not allowed inside the meeting. How can we find out?

ALL meetings of the school board are open public meetings. they can go into a closed session (board only) to discuss litigation and personell issues but they have to come back into a open meeting to vote and take any action. numbers will matter, the board members are elected by the citizens (though often recruited and hand picked to run by Mr. Moore)

Quick run down for you folks curious:

1. It is indeed a PUBLIC meeting on school grounds, which means the "laws" of the school apply. No drinking, smoking, drugs, vulgar language, death threats, weapons, and/or (as tempting as it might be) effigy of people. Trust me, if this runs as deep as I think it does (former board members allowing this to happen like, oh say, RICK PUMPELLY!), there will be plenty of old money in this town and "power players" just looking for a reason to make the public look bad and removed from the meeting. And if the cops feel it is out of control, everyone could be asked to leave.
2. "Executive session" is a way for them to hide out and talk about things that they do NOT want the public to hear. The typical use is to discuss matters behind a close door, OFF THE RECORD, and predetermine how to vote. Then as soon as executive session is closed, they come out and take an immediate vote without fielding comments. That's the dirty way of doing business but it's legal. But having just been investigated, I would expect the school board to be mindful of any thing that could make them look even worse. But knowing these clowns, this is how I expect it to work:
a). Executive session called immediately after roll
b). Return from executive session and a motion to vote for the resignation of Moore. Talk of legal grounds Moore has protecting himself due to previous board members structuring of Moore's contract. Vote ends 4-1 or 5-0 in favor of keeping him through end of contract due to PREVIOUS board members (watch the late Janie Hord and Kenneth Fryman get tossed under the bus for this) creating a legal binding contract and "tying our hands" (or some deviation of the saying "hands being tied", which I expect to be used by at least 3 or 4 board members).
3. No new business will be brought forward and any old business is resolved.
4. Meeting adjourned.
5. Board members pull a Whodini and disappear out the back while the cops play defense.
6. Tomorrow, the same old horses**t just a different day for the taxpayers of Mason County until either the State Attorney General or the Federalis come to town.

THAT'S WHY EVERY SINGLE TAXPAYER NEEDS TO BE THERE. BRING SIGNS TO PICKET OUTSIDE (never know, could be some news media there and when people, for some reason, see picketing, they get real worked up even though they don't why people are picketing.....which brings even more negative press to this dump and with an election just a week away, I bet there isn't a city commissioner wanting to see Maysville cast for the snake pit of thieves it truly is) AND TO VOLUNTEER TO PICKET WHERE PEOPLE CAN SEE. CONTACT WFTM, THE LEDGER, CINCINNATI MEDIA (since Middletons up there now, they would love a good human interest story of greed and corruption!), AND LEXINGTON MEDIA TO HAVE THEM COME SEE.
WE NEED TO BE UNITED TO TAKE DOWN THE TWO-BIT THIEVES WHO STOLE OUR TAX DOLLARS TO COVER THEIR EXPENSES. INCLUDING THE SCHOOL BOARD WHO HAVE OPENLY ADMITTED TO TREATING THEMSELVES TO EXTRAVAGANT MEALS TO MAKE UP FOR "LOW PAY AND LONG HOURS".

I wouldn't worry about people not listening Debbie. I, along with half this town, have heard rumors and stories revolving around Moore and Middleton, shall we say, "extracurricular activities" involving women, men, and being a common thief. And now that all this has come to light, it just makes it concrete the old saying, "Behind every rumor is some truth". I figure people attacked you behind I am certain this horsesh*t goes deeper than the school board and if they can make you out to be a P.O.S., you word isn't worth a lick.
I admit I never saw the retirement coming. I expected him to stay on till he couldn't any longer. Instead, he took the chickensh*t way out. Just retire, keep that fat pension, and keep getting benefits. Plus if I remember correctly, if you are involved in a lawsuit, the plaintiffs nor government can not take any part of your retirement or SSI (or other government check). Might be wrong on that so take it with a grain of salt.

farmer fran, you are very good at school law, but missed what happened after the board meeting monday night. the three board members that stayed to answer questions, constituted a quorum, and broke state law, even as the board attorney sat right beside them. the three board members should resign immediately.

Daily Horoscope for May 21

Scorpio

It's a frustrating and rather disappointing day because you have to cope with delays and setbacks to your plans. A travel arrangement may have to be postponed or there could be a hitch about something connected with education. You're also feeling subdued and tired, and you're longing to spend some time on your own although this may not be possible. Don't worry, this difficult mood will soon blow over.
