Resignation is just a start. Put his rear and the rest of the thieves on trial. Let the people of Maysville and Mason County decide his fate. He resigns and guess what? He can just go elsewhere. No hair off his ass. Same for the rest of the thieves. They had a good run while it lasted.
We need to take ALL of them down and make them face criminal charges.

state teacher retirement clearly states anyone caught stealing and convicted shall forfeit their retirement. all administrators involved should be dismissed immediately.

if he had half the moral and ethical character that we want in the leader of our school system he would have resigned already.

if money was stolen, make them pay it back with interest and send them to jail. Use the money for the students and a pay raise or bonus for the teachers. Their job is unbelievably difficult.

Mr Moore and all of the current board members should be held accountable. They all should resign, repay any monies in question. The IRS will be very interested in these individuals as well.

I truly blame the board members because like a kid Mr Moore only did things the board let him get away with. If you read the report that is on the auditors official website I believe some current board members voted to put some adendums in effect to try and cover up things they let happen. The response that was submitted by Ms West reads as if they don't see anything wrong with what has taken place. Every single person needs to resign. If they dont a recall vote needs to take place and have the removed.

Mr. Moore lives in a house in Mason County that is owned by one of the people involved in the audit.I think a clean house effect needs to be in order. From top to bottom. How do they expect us to have any faith or trust in them? The ones that truly suffer are the children. Parents need to stand together and demand the removal of all staff and board members. Your kids futures are at stake!

Parents demand restitution to our schools! Prosecute and demand the immediate release of our School Board, Administators and demand further investigation of any and all leaders within the district! Don't forget that Middleton resigned just in time....Stand up for our kids and our wonderful underpaid teachers and underpaid aides, janitors,etc...What a shame for our community.

You all are fools. The people in charge will always rob you and will always get by with it.

i think they should be flat out fired not given a chance to resign and go somewhere else and do it again,i think they need to pay back all funds and put all their asses in the jail where all the rest of us peeons would be if we STOLE from our employers, just cause they were upstanding members in our community does not make them above the law,or does it in this catholic town?

Not exactly my definition of an upstanding citizen here!! Doing worse than most people...flat out stealing and trying to hide it. Should be relieved of duties (fired)and definitely Moores' state pension should be affected....forfeited!!

So glad he got to see all the Ky. basketball tournaments while we got to watch them on t.v. He ate more food over the years than alot of these little kids did in years. It is just so sad that he thought this was o.k. to do. We eat at McDonalds and he eats at Jeff Rubys. He needs jail time for sure.

The audit only went back 5 years on credit card statements. How long has Moore been superintendent? How much is the actual dollar amount?

Believe he's been superintendent 15 years with access to fuel the entire time. That's alot of $$$$$.

Just Saying, he was hired in 1997. There was ZERO stipulations for his employment except that of a normal super. No cell phone, no free gas, nothing. Just his paycheck, retirement he USED to pay into it (but now the school has to pay all of it), and his fair share of insurance payments. Of course this was under the Mr. Felice as Secretary era.
Then at some point in the late 90's or early 2000's, Mr. Moore listed himself as Secretary of the school board (without pay of course but with access to reimbursement records and checks). His new contract also allowed his future contracts to roll over without a vote being taken by all 5 members. And his requirements went up....iPhones, iPads, family package for health, life, dental, and eye insurance, fully paid retirement, and tax free annuities. Throw on him making over 125 THOUSAND DOLLARS A YEAR and getting reimbursed for every single item (which was approved by the school board back in the early to mid 2000's). Of course, the riff raff on the school board then allowed him to do that. Which one of the names that is mentioned is none other than Rick Pumpelley[sic].

Liz is the Associate Sup or former associate I'm not sure at this point. I always knew Liz as a fair and dedicated educator. She has worked day and night to improve the educational opportunities for all of our students. If she made mistakes they were not malicious. I hope the people of Mason Co will judge each person justly.

It is amazing how one is appeared to be and then something this happens and that person becomes a feast frenzie. Although I must say while I was there I was treated very well by all and just say that I am praying for all involved. But what if records from other places they worked eith staff or board shows similar things? Who knows how long stuff like this has gone on.
