They should have to serve every day of that too, but they won't.I am afraid for when they get out because of the horrific acts that they did to this innocent family. This is the worse thing they could have done beside commiting murder. This family will never have a peaceful day probably for they will never forget what the Meacham's have done to them.I think 45 yrs. is not enough for them. They should never see daylight again. I hope and pray they never do. I am not kin to the victims, but I have heard what went on with those boy's and they are monsters. I live close to their family and I am afraid for when they get out. I have small grandchildren I am afraid for, but not only that, those monsters don't care what age you are. Hopefully someone will get them before they get out.
what did you hear went on with the meacham boys? were they always in trouble before this happened? were they abused? was there a child involved in this crime????? tell me please!

No they were not abused as children, nathan the younger of the brothers asked sally clark out she said NO. The older brother lance was working on the clarks house. Lance left a window open and later one night the two brothers broke in, tied the family up and raped all of them in front of each other. They are just cruel evil people. Yes there were children involved! Lance was in his early 20's and nathan was a minor or barely 18. Then you have the children of the clark family! And i do know the brothers...well knew them! And if they were in trouble it was minor offenses. Now please tell me CURIOUS why are you curious!?

I have been reading the posts and everyone is saying they are monsters and should have got life in prison. No one really says except they did horrible acts to the clarke family. i was just curious if there was more to it than rape? maybe murder? 45 years sentence and never been in trouble with the law and denied parole seems kind of drastric...so they did more than rape im assuming? im not saying they dont deserve it. Curiuos if there is more to this story.

More to it than rape...are you serious? Did you not read some of the posts? They deserve life IMO! I'd say the Clarke family is scarred for life! Below is a link to their charges.

There was a lil more than rape, but it was too disturbing to talk about and i am not going to say anything else other than the rape. If you dont know or remember then i am sorry. The clark family didnt deserve it, and fyi mr clark the dad held a public government job. No i dont remember what he did for a living. But what they did was wrong and they should have gotten life! Especially since they have made threats to the family and others!

What seems to b more incredible is that according to the above links mentioned is that they got more time for robbery than rape which if I read that right is very sad.that family(I personally don't know them)will be and is scarred and never ever the same.if I were part of that family when they got out I would try and kill themand rape them with a curling iron in front of each other.ass long as I dontrob them I shouldn't get much prison time..
just my opinion

In case you didn't know it, drugs mess people up! Lance was a good guy when I had classes with him in college. People are capable of anything when they start messing with drugs!

The rape was 18 yrs, the robbery was 10, and the burglary was 17.. So yeah, you are wrong about that.

Ok I was wrong by 1 year. The point being is that rape is a serious thing that the victim(s)wil never recover from.sure life goes on and one must keep moving forward(not in a progressive way)but seems as if these punishments for things like rape/molestation should be much longer.

I believe that the rape and robbery sentences are set to run consecutively, with the burglary set to run concurrently.

They were sentenced pursuant to a plea deal, which was agreed to by the victims, in order to avoid forcing the family through a public trial and testifying.

I understand the interest in this story. It's unsettling to know that something this heartless and sadistic happened in sleepy Maysville, but don't you all think it's time to put this to bed? Show some respect for the victims and quit giving notoriety to the offenders. If you're that interested in the details, go look it up at the Clerk's office.

I know because Lance told me that when he was in high school he mixed up some chemicals in chemistry class and took the chemicals home and slipped them in to something Frank (his stepfather) was eating because he wanted to kill him.
Lance hurt the Clarke family to pay back Mr Clarke. Lance says "the best way to hurt someone is to hurt someone that they love."
Nathan was forced to live with his father and stepmother who he hated. They refused to let him turn the lights on in his bedroom because it was a waste of money and other various forms of abuse.
They are both monsters.

They bragged about raping another guy in jail after they had been there a while. Dont blame it on drugs. Just animals
