APPLEBEES SUCKS! how do they stay open?

I took my wife and child to an early dinner (4:00 p.m.) at Applebee's last night. The restaurant was over half empty. We were seated immediately,
but waited 20 minutes for drinks. We ordered salads that never arrived. Our entrees arrived after a 50 minute wait and they were burnt. Additionally, they never brought our daughter's food. We didn't finish our meal, but I paid for it and we left.

DO NOT waste your money going to this poorly run establishment.

My husband and I ate there last night. The drink order was wrong. I had to ask for plates for the appetizers, and my husband had to ask 3 times for steak sauce. He finally gave up and got it himself. By the time we got home, I had to run to the bathroom. I was sick all night. These problems have been occuring since they opened. The only reason we ate there was because of a gift card we received at Christmas.

2 weeks ago I ate lunch there. I ordered a Sirloin steak cooked medium rare and requested a non-alcoholic beer. The waitress acted like I was speaking Swahili.
She wasn't even sure if there was such a thing as "non-alcoholic" beer, but she would check. They did have 1 brand but it was 1240 on a Sunday afternoon and they were not allowed to serve it yet.
I said "Great just ring it up at 1 and I won't tell anybody."
Absolutely out of the question. So I drank something else. Things were not going well already. When the steak arrived the waitress asked me to cut open my steak. I did and it was barely pink in the middle, no blood at all.
We both looked at it and she said "Perfect, right?" I said, "I'll eat it."
The manager stopped at our table during the meal. I showed her the steak and she said I should have sent it back. When I asked her exactly she was going to uncook my steak she offered to take $5 off my check. I took her up on it but I won't be in a hurry to go back. I actually want to enjoy the meal not get a better deal.

All restaraunts are pretty dirty when compared to a clean home kitchen. I have only eaten there 2 times before since it has been open. I didn't bitch or complain before I got my food because I have worked in a kitchen before and know what happens. I ate my steak over cooked and never sent it back.
It was Melanie Johnson's stupid ass who was the waitress. She is fried from all the drugs she has done but let's face was already dumb before she did that stuff. She should be given less responsibility. The manager said they try not to give her very many tables because of all the complaints they recieve about her service.
You on the other hand are one step below Melanie.
If Applebee's was concerned about losing their liquor license they would be more diligent about checking ID's. I know a few under 21's who go there just because they can get served there.

When to Apple bees Sunday for lunch, what a mess first no silverware, for salad then cold lunch, potato not even baked, still hard as a rock ,ask for the Manager his answer was it's always like this on Sunday, try another day when were not busy, sad place

OK...got to go to applebees...they are always expensive and at the time..but it was safe..years ago. NOW...we go and get to the HEAD waitress...or SEATER...they tell us ten minutes or so. I went to the mens room and came back to see my wife still waiting, as others were also. I asked again and she said another ten minutes (Whats this? The Russian Steak house at $100.00 a plate? Ha) anyways..she tells me they are waiting for a table. i said...look there are 2 there and One there. Hmmm...U still have to wait..I asked why...she said The kitchens backed up...WHAT? The kitchen is backed up? ahahhahhhahaaaaaa...so, I said... we stand here at the entrance till its NOT BACKED UP? Whats a matter with seating us pout of the cold and we could wait at a table? Well...see yas...goin to the diner...better food, cheaper (was 1/3 of the price...Steak, great, rice, soup, Fried Chicken, ashe, 2 sodas, 23.94..applebees is always 75 and up) and NO SLOPPY TALK. BYEEEE. and there... The once GOOD Applebess turned into a Pumkin. A rotten pumpkin. we took the 50.00 applebees cars and gave it to someone we hate, ahahhaa.

No most of the originals are gone i use to work there almost two years ago and i was there almost 3 years ago they pritty much put the best workers out the door cause we were catching onto the managment they were checking us out early and not tellinf us making us work free hrs and when we said we were going to call corp they threatnd to fire us hell hell talked to us like we were trash hell there was a month that the gu machine was busted and no one did nothing ppl were literaly eating off dirty dishs that had only been run through water just down right sick and there were times when there was no soap at all in the dish mashine for week every time ud tell them they would run to the office and bitch about it the managers treated the place like there own playground its bad some one need to call the health department and make a suprize visit and yes my name is jason meeker i did work at applebees in maysvill i know the place is nothing but a joke and just like iv always said in my time there i have met alot of good friends and ppl there are few alil slow at work at first but the managment there has always been the biggest problem

man, this is bad. i dont eat there anymore cause i felt the service always was poor. i never did figure out why it always took 5-6min to get a tap beer. the food is juke. the managment and the bartenders also have cussed customers. people save your money, take your business out of town. went a ate at longhorn in alexandria the other night it was great all around best food and service. if your looking for good food and service in maysville go to the classic pasquales.... cant go wrong.

Whoever the "cook" is there should be taken out and beat with a razor strop. I would rather starve than ever go back there. And it has me thinking I'll never go to another one ever either.

Service was iffy.

Honestly I was feeling ill for a full 24 hours after eating that greasy mess.

i agree the food quality wasnt the greateat however out server Charlie was amazing and totally made up for the bad food. hes was a complete gentleman and verry personable...we will go back just for him!!!!

We live by the Applebees in Crofton MD. My wife likes to go there because it is close and has pick up service. Over the years we've suffered through bad food, bad service, had applebees management fire the cook while waiting on our meal, waiter meltdown (explaining to all of his customers that he lost all his money through day trading and was looking to make enough to go back and try again), been seated next to the loudest bunch of drunks at the bar and of course, seated next to the biggest, loudest group of underaged, poorly behaved kids this side of Dennys.

Last night, our hostess led us past several tables of adults only and sat us next to a party group of 12. I knew as soon as I saw the three tables of 4 together what we were in for. Sure enough, a 3 generational outing, 4 grandparents, 6 kids between 1 and 5 and the two young and somewhat hot mothers. Only problem was that there was no one resembling "Dad" there. Needless to add, the kids were screaming in no time. Neither of the Moms or any of the grandparents felt control was needed. According to my wife, one of the mothers did have her hands full, breast feeding an infant while waiting for her order.
I don't know if I need to add this - but in order to show I was not stereotyping - this group was white.

This Applebees' is in the Waugh Chapel Village. Another Mall has just gone up to the South and is directly connected to it. Most people in the greater Crofton/Gambrills/Odenton area expect the Wegmans' there to put Safeway and Giant out of business. My hope is that some combination of Houlihans' and/or the Green Turtle put Applebees out of business. They have already cut into its business.

As for groups like the one I was forced to sit next to last night - They can always drive up to Glen Burnie and head to Chucky Cheese. The place they ate last night is pretty well close to it already.

Maybe you should rent out a whole resturaunt if you want quiet. Tho I dnt agree with not controlling kids that family had every right to be there as you did. Get off your high horse and eat a fat one! And I dnt mean a salad!

Since when is a rare steak illegal to sell or serve? A felony huh? Put down the bottle and get sober. Ever had Prime Rib? It's almost always served rare or medium rare. Only the ends are well done. Guess you have never heard of or tried Steak Tartare?
