The new law says a family dr can not write more than 50% of their patients pain meds so they can still give them most just don't want too. Now you have to see a pain specialist to get them.

Every law that is passed in trying to curb pain-pill abuse only makes it harder for those that need them to get their meds. Just another co-pay, Dr. visit and another hassle that will more than likely have no effect.

This law is stupid, it doesnt help. It hurts actual hurting/sick people. The problem is in other states, and people going to places like florida and bringing them back. Its been hard to get pain pills in kentucky for a while now, unless you really do alot of searching or buy them illegally. I knew someone 5 years ago that had two back surgerys and was only prescribed tylenol 3 afterwards because the Dr was so scared of being swooped down on by authorities. Thats sad. This law will just encourage more people to go out of state to bring them back here. What are people supposed to do that take narcotics that are in other normal medications? Cough medications like Tussinex have hydrocodone in it for cough relief. I guess people are just going to have to suffer now unless they intentionally go hurt themselves. SAD! Stop the pill problem in Florida and you solve most of our pill problems, promise!

im afraid all the lawmakers have done is open a door for even more street drugs to come in, people that need the meds will not be able to get them anymore, people that wouldn't do street drugs may resort to them now for some kind of releif from pain, people cannot live day in and day out with pain, the drs need to do a drug test and random pill counts on pateints to see if they have the right amount of meds and that the meds they are priscribed are actually in their system,if not the dont give them any more, its so simple but the lawmakers want to create all these news laws to do this because they want to ensure thier paychecks, what a joke this country has become

I read somewhere they made 60 million TONS of oxycodone last year. Plenty for everyone that needs it and some extra for those who don't.

Everyone say "Hello Heroin", this will replace alot of drs, now. its cheap and everywhere don't need a dr to give it to anyone, it also has opiates in it soo this will become the new "Pain Pills" wow what a wonderful world we live in, our gov, trys to fix one problem only to create lots more, wonder how many new agencies this will create so the gov. can steal the rest of everything by saying they have to raise taxes to pay for this crap!!!!!!!!!!

Here is the plan folks, all the dumbazz'Z that want to turn to heroin for your pain....go right ahead, share the dang needles, get your fix and die from AIDS. Complete way to eliminate the over population of the world. SHOOT UP IDIOTS, your wasting space. Most are stealing pain meds from the elder and that is why government has chosen to tighten the reign on prescriptions, can't stop a druggie, but it is easy to give them the opportunity to shoot themselves literally without pulling a trigger. You want your pain meds, then hurry to the next heroin dealer so you can get to your destination after life sooner, but don't expect the living to give a crap or to remember your dumbazz's. An addict is an addict no matter what the addiction. Government will control the population, one addict at a time will be eliminated.

I have been in pain day in and day out since 2007. In my opinion if a person is truly in pain and in need of help they will not hesitate or mind going to a specialist and/or pain clinics. This will free up family doctors for referrals for those that need them and for the everyday problems people have. It will put a stop to those who want to just get a narcotic prescriptions. I have had to go to both specialist and a pain clinic recently for the pain but if u really need the meds u don't mind doing what needs to be done. Just my opinion.

There is an economic crisis, there is high unemployment, there is billions in debt of this country. Now anyone that feels they are willing to hit the grave early, it will be the weakest of this nation that will seek out the harshest killer that being Heroin. Now think about this a minute, if you are one of those that government can do without on this planet, then you will be the one that helps them eliminate the problems of this country by your own actions to do heroin. If you don't respect the life of living, you will not be missed when you leave this earth. It is a way to cure the problems of this country by self inflicting your own death. If you truely want to live on this earth, you will seek to survive, not push your way to the front of the line of death. So take a good hard long look at yourselves in the mirror to ask YOU..Is it worth living? The epidemic of hard drugs will indeed eliminate those that are the weakest link in this country..Is that YOU. There is nothing sad about it, if you make your own choice, the consequences will be your own making, while the world moves forward, the soil of the earth will be the only rememberance to your existance. 1-5-10 years from now, is a grave all that will be a marker that you were even an existance. Death or Life...which do you prefer?

The doctors here in Maysville don't want to fill out the paper work known as kasper. You can still get your meds, kasper keeps records of your meds to make sure your not addicted.

Why do the people that legitimately need pain pills have to jump through hoops to get them and the idiots that take them for fun just go buy as many as they want?
