All in all it wasnt that bad. Didn't see much of the actual 'Varsity team' on the floor....and the only Senior we have was not shown in pictures and was not recongized at all. That was shameful -when last year Blue and White night was all about the 2 seniors we had.
I am sorry but blue and white night was exactly as it was last year! You have the same girls on the floor playing, having the same girl bring her dad on the court playing the same ol game! His old ass needs to sit down and let somene else play instead of trying to make his old butt look like he has something! They need to let everyone play and do different things, but the way it looks its always gonna be the same ones doing the same ol thing!!

<quoted text> U are right! There is time for them 7-8 graders. People need to look at the older girls and not leave out the 4 freshman that they are trying to push out. There is 1 freshman that I think they are underestimating, and it's not the one on the varsity bench now! Just saying. I have heard from many that she is a great kid and a good player. This kid has a lot of heart, but has been off to a bad start due to the passing of her grandmother. Just hope she sticks it out and that the coaches see it!
GOOD LUCK THIS YEAR LADY'S!
I agree that the freshman girls should get playing time. However I don't think it is right to get on here and make comments about the 7th graders! They didn't ask to be moved up. From my understanding the freshman girls had the choice to move up, and one parent threw a tantrum saying she wanted her daughter to stay on the freshman team, so hush up and quit whining! You got what you wanted. And yes a couple of the freshman girls can play, but it is in no way the 7th grade girls fault about the playing time. If they would play like they should the younger girls would not get to play as much! And just let me add the 7th graders practice, and play just as hard if not Harder than the freshman. So just hush up the whining because your daughter isn't getting playing time. If you are a good player you are going to get playing time! Enough said! If you don't like it too bad! Take your daughter off of the team and give someone else time too play! That's why the 8th graders got moved up, because freshman girls parents where whining about their girls getting to play their freshman year! So you got what you wanted! Leave it alone! It's already done and Coach Lindsey isn't gonna change it!!

Funny how the freshman girls (actually their parents) are wining... they played the freshman season last year to... But they chose to play down instead of up. I agree, the 7th grade did not ask to be bumped up, but they are working hard and handling it well. Go to a game, support them! They are 3 and 1 but should be 4 and 0! The loosses are not the teams fault! I won't give the reason but it's obvious to anyone watching why they are losing! Trust me, the 7th grade is handling prep level play very well, they just do not have the leadership.

Finally someone who can see the light. I'm glad someone else out there can see what is going on. I also think the 7th grade girls are doing extremely well. They try hard, and they actually do a really good job as far as playing up. The guidance they ave ad over the past four years has made them into the girls they are today. I'm sure some of the freshman parents do not like this, however they could have played up, but they chose to stay at a freshman level. So do to complain about the playing time, or who is getting played. You have to do what you can to win, and putting someone in, whether it be freshman or younger, is just a fact you will have to deal with. I have heard some of the freshman say, " this is a freshman team, not 7th grade". This may be true, but the 7thngrade girls were asked to,play up so the took the opportunity to do so. It's not their fault whether they win or lose, as long as they are trying! Great job girls, keep up the good work!! On a mission for tradition!!

It's high school ball, I does not matter what grade you are in if you are on the TEAM! Everyone know, at least they should, when you reach school level play you play to win! Seniority doesn't mean anything over skill!! The 10th region is a very competitive region to play and all TEAMs have to bring it or they will not advance! Same applies to the younger TEAMs. Coaches need to play to win not keep whiney parents happy, this is evident with the girls freshman TEAM.*notice TEAM is all capped? Thats because from Varsity to 2nd grade they are ALL our Lady Royals TEAM!!
I am happy even though everyone is ranting on here, they have at least kept the kids names off this site! Kudo's to everyone!! Those girls do not deserve to named here! They are all wonderful kids!!

Congratulations to the girls last night. Bierley 18 points and I think 8 rebounds and some steals, Simms 18 points and some rebounds, Green 13 points. That's what we need, multiple girls scoring, with higher shooting percentages. I do wish somebody would teach these girls how to block out though. You don't have to have talent to block out, just be willing to work. Boone knows how to block out and rebound. I expect to see her on the floor a lot more this year. Great job Ladies!

You all have no clue!! The freshman girls where asked to move up and play jv along with freshman, there was no word about if they wanted to play only jv. This I know, and then when they said yes to playing both the coaches told them they didn't want them to be juggling back and forth to, two different practices, where I come from practice makes perficet! The freshman girls have been done wrong from the beginning.
As for the 7th graders playing with the freshman they have no problem with this, infact the freshman girls like the 7th grades and think they are doing a great job!! It's a very young team but they are doing well with what they have been given. Keep working hard freshman someone will see,as for the 7th graders you do the same keep working hard and paying well with the girls!

There are many talented girls on all levels. However, there are too many girls on the team. When watching the jv game it's hard to even enjoy the games because they are constantly subbing in and out. The coach is doing a great job getting everyone playing time but it's in spurts so who knows what they can really do. There are two girls on varsity that need to play JV as it will only make them better that's how you get better if by playing. The freshman team should have been made up of 8 graders and freshman. The jv team should have been some freshman, eight graders, sophmores and a junior...and varsity based on ability regardless of the age. The 7th graders are good but they will have thier time and it will pay off in the long run to let them mature. But hind sight is 20/20 and for whatever reason that is not what has happened so for now everyone should just support our girls as it's not their fault they don't make the decisions! and lastly the 2 girls cut from the team that should have never happened they should have moved or cut some underclassman.....

No sense continuing the crying about any of this. From 7th through 12th, they are a fine group of student athletes. We are very lucky to have these girls representing MC. Most, if not all are taking advanced classes, I would guess the average GPA for the entire program is close to 3.8-3.9 out of 4.0. The classes they are taking are far above the classes their parents had in high school, let alone juggling practice, getting home late from an away game! Many games you will see the girls setting behind the bench (While waiting to dress or just finished a game) doing homework. They have little or no social life beyond their team mates or a text message, and some how the manage to pull it off! I know they choose to play and could set at home, but this says something about the character of OUR Lady Royals! I am for one PROUD of all of them and PROUD of the program. Whether or not I agree with who plays or how long, this is still an outstanding group...
My philosiphy is, I am so thankful I can argue with a referee about a call instead of being at Childrens arguing with a doctor about a treatment option! There are to many that would trade places with us as parents just to see their child set the bench instead of in the hospital. Cherish our Lady Royals, they graduate and move on to soon.
GO LADY ROYALS!!!!

Totally agree. You have experience with talent and won't use them. Actually just killing their spirit. That's fine. I am proud how some of these girls take the humiliation by sitting the bench but still stick with it. Dedication

IMO I feel Butler calls the shots as well as a couple of parents. And that is why teams like this never make it down state. Playing coaches daughters, nieces, and friends kids. Regardless of turning the ball over and not rebounding just doesnt cut it. But like the previous post, we need to look at the big picture. Just girls highschool bball

Bracken is going to kill Mason Friday. These 8th graders are going to be eaten alive and Coach Lindsey will be totally oblivious to it all. Some of those sophomores and juniors deserve more than what they get... So sad
