Yeah then the people who take advantage of us working people while they lay around on welfare and food stamps could have a good time on our tax dollar. Yeah thats what I want to, NOT! More trash in the pile.....

Not everyone who is in need of pain medication is on welfare or foodstamps. To believe so is ignorant. There are those of us who work very hard for a living and are NOT drug addicts that also suffer daily from chronic and severe pain.

Most people who go to the pain clinic ARE drug addicts. We don't need this kind of mess in Union County. The drugs here are out of control now. Just imagine if we had a pain clinic!

Ya that's all union co needs a pain clinic lmao. All ppl that go to pain clinics are drug addicts in one way or another and usually sell what they get. That's the stupidest idea I have heard must have been a druggie that thought of it.

Well, when KPD was trying to shut down one of the barely legal drug pushin' clinics down town, they ran background checks on alot of the people coming & going from the clinic & you would not believe the riff raff & no goods that frequented the place. They even ran one guy's record & found he had some warrants from right here in Maynardville. Now, come on Toe Toe, do you want those kinda people coming to our area, because it would not just be people from Union county, you would get the dealers from Knoxville/ Chattanooga setting up shop here & other illegal drugs would follow. I don't know what rock you crawled out from under, but I grew up around here & have pride for my community & have a son & wife to think about & I would hate to have them subject to such lowlifes. Ovbiously you don't know jack about how these pain clinics are like a crap magnet for illegal activity. Any revenue made would be spent on more law enforcement and building a bigger jail to hold all these idiots. Don't ever even post another thing about a pain clinic ever again!!! You need to get your facts straight before voicing your opinion.

I have been looking for a good doctor for pain management. I have severe back problames n I have had two back surgeries already. My surgeon wants to fuse 7 of my disc together w/ medal rods n screws. I have many many days that I can't even walk r anything. I have 1 bulging disc, 6 disc r gone n its just bone on bone, n the sack That holds all of ur nerves in that has fluid in it is has every one of my nerves pinched! Everyday is so painful n I will probably be paralyzed w/I 10 years, well that's what my surgeon said. My 2 problems are that I have absolutely no insurance and I'm young. Most plases won't treat u if ur not atleast 30 Years old. I have had this problame for the last 9 years n it's only getting worse! Its the most painful thing anyone could ever have to go through. if u know of anyone that would be a good doctor that's taking new patients n who will see me w/ me being under 30 I would appreciate it if u would please let me know. God Bless u all and Thank You all very much.

I agree with "Ink" on the fact that not all people who need medication are necessarily drug addicts, but pain clinics often attract that type of person. Unfortunately those of us who actually need the benefits of a pain clinic cannot get help because of the people who fake injuries to get pain medication or we simply won't go because we don't want to be assumed to fall into that same category. For that reason alone ,I agree, we do not need a pain clinic in Union County. We have enough problems as is. It's sad really that people like me can't get the help we need because of common trash that would rather sit on their asses and collect welfare while selling the medications that they get from these clinics but obviously don't need. It seems that unless you are on welfare etc the doctors simply don't want to talk to you. Perhaps I'm wrong but there it is. I sit here in severe pain every day and can do nothing about it because of that trash. When I say "trash" I am including the doctors that prescribe to these people. If they do put in a pain clinic here I'll move...

If there was a true pain clinic here in Maynardville,& if it was like the one that Knoxville PD shut down a couple of months ago, the Dr. was from Florida (I think Ft. Lauderdale area) & he was only @ the clinic maybe once a month if that & he had a Physician's Assistant (PA-C) actually run the clinic & he just provided the license for the PA-C to operate under. It was my understanding that the way the Dr. got around not being licensed to operate in TN was that his PA-C was licensed in TN. Either way, the piece of crap Dr. was not from TN he was from Florida so he did give a flying flip if his name was attached to a legalized drug house serving criminals on the run he didn't live there. So why do you think it would be any different here in Maynardville. Go ahead & get accept a pain clinic in to this county & I guarantee you'll beg to get it out after the crime rate goes up, & your kids have more easy access to pills & they become addicts themselves. Once you accept one in, the next one will be even easier...etc...

Please, Please. Union County does not need a pain clinic. ToeToe must be kidding or sarcastic. Anyone with walkaround sense knows the county does not need this. In fact, I don't think they need to exist anywhwere. I can remember when ppl got along without them. There were not many addicts then. Can't ppl on drugs see what they are doing to themselves, their family, their children, and the misery to put on others. Can they see the little children (maybe their own) go to school dirty, dirty clothes, hungry, hair never combed, and smelling of pee? If they ever go to school can they see the difference in their own and the others who do not live this way? Are they ashamed or are so glassy eyed they can't see? This picture would make me turn my life around. What would cause a man or a woman, wife, husband, mother, father, neighbor or friend to see the way out of this hell? I don't know, but remember as a child,(nearly all alcohol) ppl would quit
