They had a great booth at the boat show. Bubba is adding 3,000 sq. ft to handle the big crowds. A
floating green with a hole in one contest for the
humane society is going to be neat. They said they are adding heat and air in the original bar area and plan on going year round now. They said they are oppening mid April with bands , karaoke and
ragae bands on Sunday. It sounds like they got it going. Cant wait !!!!!!!!!! See you soon Bubba!!!!

Bubba and Nan Bass have never been in trouble with the law. and don't have "big money". I've seen them work and they are hard workers. bubba is always standing at the front door greeting the customers. as far as everything else, sounds like family business to me and shouldn't be discussed with people who don't know them or anyone really. As far as the wreck where someone got killed, it didn't happen at bubba brew's. it happened at a bar in cumberland gap after he had visited both bubba's and the other bar. no law suit at beach island.

The bar/restaurant was wonderful before. All of the new additions sounds great. This is such a wonderful place to go and relax. Bubba, Nan and Ned great people and great friends, can't wait to see you all on opening day. Keep up the good work and hospitality. Love you all and what you have done with everything. See you soon.

Hickory star was foreclosed on. Unless someone bought it I don't see how they could open up their own place.

First of all I think everyone needs to invest in a dictionary, its hard to be taken seriously if you fail at a first grade reading level.
Secondly, how dare anyone use someone's death that they probably don't even know to try to hurt someone else in any way. Furthermore, there is no proof that the unfortunate man referred to got all, if any, of his alcohol there. the legal system has ways of deciding that in a court of law with sufficient evidence.
As far as the legality of the alcohol permit, anyone with the proper foresight could have made the same investment. Look in your local paper archives for the permit notices. Ask your local elected government officials how they voted, with research you can find the actual ballot they voted "yes" for it on.
As for the Bass family, ease up. anyone that knows them know they are great people. every family has their own problems to worry about. its easy for people to get on here, talk trash, and spread rumors because you can hide your identity. sounds like this whole post is fueled by jealousy and not fact.

dean knuckles from pineville bought hickory star and petes on the water is no more, he plans on running it his self but as far as beach islands competition... i dont see that happening anytime soon. he payed over a million dollars more then it was worth since he couldnt see the books cause it was in foreclosure. he pretty much drawn blind on that deal, i hope his trucking company makes enough to make the bank note cause hes a pretty good guy and he has big dreams, but right now its nothing but dreams unless he has some silent partners no one knows about. As for the bass family there good people that has worked hard for there money and as much money they spend in this county and taxes they have to pay for there liquor payed for that new grade school. so losers keep on hating cause it ain't hurting there business any

Growing drugs, dealing still illegal. Ned Bass has always paid his way to the right people to get what he wants, crooked as they come.

Instead of worrying about people doing business, you should be checking out your local government practices. There is much more to be lost for people here by allowing government to run unwatched and unchallenged then being concerned about businesses that bring in tax base to build in a poverty-stricken county. Have a nice day.
