I support our Mayor. What you heard was just that: Hearsay
Peole don't like our Mayor bcause he is trying to do the RIGHT thing, and bring our county up to date, and up to code.
The "old guard" of thieve that has run this county from behind closed doors is pissed off because Mayor William is cuttin off their money train.
Why else do you think Goforth and Coppock decided to retire??
If you care about your county, you would support our Mayor too.
fantastic

Wouldn't vote for Williams again in a million years. But if five people run against him he'll go back in. That's how they do it.

Now he is hiring more people for the court house and getting ready to raise our taxes. Plus he tried to jump ship when he wanted to run for another office.

I'll vote for Mike

MIKE SEXTON

The only Commissioner with enough balls to say no to him.

I believe that Mike votes on things with the best interest of us taxpayers in mind. As a matter of fact,I know he does. I am grateful to have him as my mayor and thank him for being who he is. Thanks Mike!! All the screw offs that have had reform of our tax dollars being carelessly wasted pushed down their throats need to go home anyway. The budget and finance committee will further solidify the savings of our money county wide. We can only hope that Mike isn't sick of all the critics to the point that he decides to throw his hands up and give those ignorant haters what they want, the good ole boy system back in production.People, just look around and see whats going on and draw your own conclusions, instead of listening to other peoples opinions and taking sides. See things for what they really are. Again, thank you Mike for doing your job and doing it so well.

Tell me how spending 200,000 and hiring five people on the county payroll is saving money. Put down your Koolaid and think. Not a cent for roads or education but we'll spend hundreds of thousands giving our friends jobs? We can't afford the schools I agree with that. But then he goes and spends money to hire more people to do a job that is already being done?

Knox County said no to this after their study showed that it would actually cost more money.

Power grab plain and simple.

It is easy to see yhat you don't really care about "where your money is spent". I you were interested you would already know that the Budget and Finance committe meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM. Should you attend this meeting you could actually see for yourself "who" is on the committee and what efforts are being made and see "where your money is spent"!

And just what will our county do when the state mandates, which will most likely happen in this upcoming session of the legislature, that each county in the state must have central finance? I feel we should go one step further and establish a personel department that would do all the hiring and firng in the county.

Nice try. There is no legislation upcoming regarding Central Financing. MTAS refers to it as a recomendation. Knox County determined it would actually cost them money and said no. Nice try sir.

You all should go to a County Commssion meeting once in a while. The reason they voted in the Central Finance is to save the county money. In 2 years the state is going to force Central Finance on every county and if they do they control what those employees make and believe me it is a lot more than what the commission decided to pay Ms. dyer. It was better to vote the Central Finance in now than to wait an have it forced on us.
fantastic

The state said at the last meeting that they will never force centralization it is only a recomendation. Knox County said no. Rhea County said yes. Rhea county voted last Thursday to do away with it because it cost them money.

Get your facts straight or at least get your propoganda from somebody else.

NO PROPERTY TAX INCREASE FOR NEW HIRES AT COURTHOUSE!

How is hiring five new family members at the courthouse going to save us money?

STOP WILLIAMS VOTE SEXTON!
