It's not hardly fair to judge the whole county based on a couple of drivers. Typically everyone does the speed limit in Maynardville because speed is strictly enforced. It sounds like you need to find a different route, or some prozac....

If it bothers you that much why don't you take Hickory Valley, or Little Valley, Hwy 61 East to Tazewell Pike, or even Old Hwy 33 to Fox Hunter. I myself live here and appreciate the school zones because my child is enrolled there and I know how dangerously fast people go without it not to mention it helps to keep traffic moving through the schools. You can't risk safety when it comes to children. Sorry.

I can't argue that.... I won't let my child ride the bus, for obvious reasons....

I agree about the safety part. I, also appreciate it regarding how some drive around here! I can not take these roads you suggest. I just live practically in the school zone and sometimes (most all the time)it is hard to get out onto Hwy. 33. That is what my remark was about.

Knoxville Drivers aren't really any better. True they drive faster, but that's because there speed limits are for the most part higher than union county. And just to let you know, if your driving through union county very often then you're a union county driver. So, in a way you're putting yourself down.

dont think so. I travel through there just to get to work ONLY. I live in claiborne county but am from KY. I believe there is going to be construction on/at the 33 bridge. If that is the case I will be going home morristown way its a bit longer but its better than sitting in traffic especially when my drive is an hour 15 min long and usually work 9-10 hours a day. Usually by that time, I am ready to come and stay home till work the next day, so NO i'm not a union county driver, and yes I understand about the school zone but hell here in claiborne county I dont go through any school zones and in KY the school zone is 45 its better than 30.

Daily Horoscope for December 29

Virgo

If something is weighing on your mind it will start to affect your health, Virgo. It might make you feel tired or depressed, or it could dominate your thoughts. You know what you should do about it, of course, but it seems like too much effort or you want to pretend that it doesn't exist. Unfortunately, this escapist attitude won't make the problem go away and might even make it more tricky by the time you finally decide to tackle it.
