Pocahontas-Area Roads Shut Down, Officials Hope Waters Recede Soon

“I think by tonight everybody will figure out how to get around them, maybe the long way around.”

It's the same scene on several Randolph County highways. Flood waters creeping across the road, leaving motorists to back up and head the other way. via KAIT-TV Jonesboro

Highway 328 between Reyno and Maynard is flooded. They have the road blocked. You can get past Current river bridge but not at the curve.

I have an elderly Aunt who lives alone in Pocahontas,I am very concerned for her safety! Any news about the flooding in this area would be appreciated.

Hwy 67 South of Pocahontas is flooded close to Lawrence county. The water is flowing so rapidly across that they have closed 67 South.

I went down to Bald Knob for a visit coming from Ohio. I drove on Highway 67 and it was around 10pm on March 21st. I came upon some of what I thought were road crew and they were guiding us around the water.It was very dark and very scary especially when you dont have a clue where you are. I hope that everyone is getting cleaned up and back to normal.

Actually, I Had to drive through the water. Scary for me. Here at home we dont flood like that and never in my life have I had to drive through flood water.
