I think downtown is controlled more by the Mayor and the City Council. Jim Ward had improved Letcher County a thousand times over. I can't believe people on his staff can come to this web site and make such comments. Everyone know that we all can't have good clean water overnight. It takes time and money. Eddie, why don't you perhaps write a grant and try to get some extra funds?

Do you people really think that Eddie is going to get on here and talk trash about Jim? If Jim doesn't win then Eddie is out of a job. I can't believe anyone would think this is him. Looks to me as if someone is impersonatting a public official and wouldnt that be illigal?

You are correct that impersonating a public official is a felony.....A lawyer has been contacted and besides who would be dumb enough to think that a deputy judge would slander his own boss.....Good ole lies on topix again.....oh and by the way dont forget to vote for Jim Ward lol....

As of right now I'm voting for Robert Baker. Jim Ward has done some good things, but he does let oil, gas, and coal companies run over property owners. Besides, I haven't forgot the dirty ads when he got elected.

Let me add something else. Because of the Mountain Eagle incident and the bragging of some of the Democrat leaders in Letcher county's past elections, and the way the Democrats have been in Congress and the White House, I'm voting straight Republican this year. I've never done that before in my life, but this year I am.
