Faulkner County Democrats should not have to put up with intimidation from a sanctimonious bully. Tommy isn't the only Democrat he's gone after. From what I can tell, he's actually pretty non partisan when it comes to seeking revenge on political opponents, so I think we should be non partisan about kicking him out of office.

Good Lord, I hate to agree with the Democrats of ANY county, but it's time for this guy to go. Crime is up and enforcement is down! The crime rates alone should be a huge bell ringing for you people to wake up! This is a "Sheriff" who is only out for himself and a few buddies. Well buddies, I"d take a good look around and realize that you need to SEPARATE YOURSELVES quickly from the quicksand that is Andy Shock. What was SHOCKING to me was the rate that crime escalated during his tenure. Ever wonder why? It's because he doesn't care about you people. He wants to come to functions and kiss babies, but when it comes to service and the people, NOTHING.
I know both candidates personally. I would say it to anyone who asks, IT SHOULDN"T EVEN BE A RACE. You're comparing apples to dogshit. Shock hasn't the education, experience, or ability to be the Sheriff of Mayberry, let alone a county like this one. This was a bad move from the start to elect him in the first place.
Taylor is experienced, dedicated, and has PROVEN leadership capabilities that Shock only wished he had.
I've said this also before in another post; FOR CHRIST SAKE TAKE OFF THAT FCSO HOODIE THAT YOU WEAR EVERY DAMN DAY AND PUT ON A SHIRT AND TIE!! SHAVE!! Make some ATTEMPT to trick people into thinking you're a professional. You're embarrassing as a public servant. I know you don't know any better, but GOOD GOD! Call Joe Taylor and ask him what he's wearing today before you dress yourself for the day. Do what he does.
If Shock gave a damn for anyone but himself, he'd withdraw and realize that he is simply outclassed. I'm no fan of Tommy's either and realize we didn't have much to choose from; Tommy wasn't an administrator and the Highway Policemen are barely cops. He's a nice guy but didn't have the experience. Ryals too was a pilot and trooper with no administrative experience.
You ought not just elect Taylor, but thank him for running. He is truly about to go from the frying pan into the fire with FCSO, but I believe he can do it. Again, his record is proven. I'm with Joe. Lets take out the trash.

All I can tell you is ask for a republican ballot on May 20th and vote for Joe Taylor. He'll make a fair and decent sheriff, and I believe he will do a very professional job for everyone in Faulkner County regardless of who you are. Andy has pretty much ran that place since 08 anyway. He thinks that his fake "Christian" act is enough to get re elected. I see right through it, and so does most everyone else. I'm tired of having a thug for a sheriff who only serves his friends, and goes out of his way to intimidate everyone else. He's a laughing stock! Go Joe!

Before I start, I am 100% for Joe; but the fact remains, this will be a very close sheriff's race. Joe will get 90% to 95% of the veterans vote and all the vote of people pissed off at Andy Shock, but this will not put Joe in office! Joe needs to get out and talk to more people, he needs to put up a sign every place Shock has one up. I have seen very few of Joe's signs out; also, and if your reading this Joe, DON"T BELIEVE ONE WORD OF WHAT SOME IN THE FAULKNER COUNTY REPUBLICAN PARTY ARE TELLING YOU! These people are two faced as two faced can be, and it is nothing but a back stabbing snake pit! They will mislead you to help Shock. If you have in your mind that just campaigning in Conway will win this for you, well I'm sorry to say it won't, you need to be working all of Faulkner County and going to EVERY political function. You have less than 30 days to change your attack plan so to speak. I wish you the best of luck. You have my vote, but my vote alone won't win it for you.

He's got more support in the county than you might think. I do believe Conway will lean heavily for Joe, but the Greenbrier area does need some signs, and it would help if the cabin would start giving a legitamite candidate, with superior experience like Joe some coverage. Shock seems to have used the sheriffs office to bully the boys at the LCD the same as he has everyone else. I think you'll be surprised at how many people who have Shock signs in their yards who vote for Joe Taylor once they're in the voters booth. I've had several people tell me that they HAD to support him openly, but had no intentions of voting for him.
I think that pretty much sums up the reason Joe decided to run in the first place.

The only thing I'll say, is that I hope I'm wrong and you're right. People also need to come to the understanding that this will not be a landslide in Joe's favor. This will be a very close race and it will be an up hill battle for Joe. Joe can win this, but he needs to remember that there are a lot of older people living in Faulkner County that don't read the Log Cabin Blogs or Topix, they are completely oblivion to what is really going on in this county.

What is going on with the sheriff's office and the hiring of perverts? Three different cases; one just arrested for sexual assault, one former deputy trying to pick up little girls at a store, and one former deputy that beat up his girl friend when she caught him in bed with another man taking a trip up the Hershey highway.

This dosn't tell us anything that is going on. Really its a pretty lack luster attempt to make the sheriff somthing he is not; a leader and administrater.

Can someone tell what the qualification for sheriff are? Besides the requirement to get the most votes?

Training, experience, knowledge? I would certainly like to hear about that more than "my family moved here along time ago"

We need to move out of the 1960's law enforcement and get cops to run the sheriff department, not what we have now

I haven't seen it myself, but I was told that Sheriff Shock posted on his facebook page that being sheriff is getting harder on him everyday. Of course it is getting harder on him, when you lack education and the inability to interact with people.Reading between the lines; I think he's telling us he can't do the job. Which most of the people in the county are starting to see.

Corruption is definitely in Conway, AR! In 2011 I was locked up in the FCDC when Karl Byrd was in office. I was told I had a warrant for my arrest but last year I found there was no warrant. I was transported to the Morgan by Little Rock police officer and picked up by FCSO but didn't have my Miranda Rights read until I begged for them. I was abused in jail with no sleep the night before however I was in jail held for a hearing for involuntary commitment. The judge had to release me because I said nothing of the psychological abuse I received. I left the state 3 days later and wondered in Oklahoma for a while. There is more about this.
It appears I was targeted for a kind of human trafficking that is conspiracy through probate court. You can find some records mostly in Faulkner County's Booked website but I have asked and they don't have any records of my jail time at FCSO...
I was jailed 2 more times in 2012 by some trickery but someone can't find that in the sheriff's records either. Look for Linda Gayle Womack. Check out guardian abuse through probate courts and the National Association to Stop Guardian Abuse.I know more than I want to know about corruption in AR and the "Good Old Boys!"
Your rights don't have to be read to you unless the police are asking you questions, when your answers could be used against you, ass clown. Grow the f**k up monkey f**ker.
