there is only one race – the human race. Caucasians, Africans, Asians, Indians, Arabs, Jews, etc. are not different races. Rather, they are different ethnicities of the human race. All human beings have the same physical characteristics (with minor variations of course). More importantly, all human being are created in the image and likeness of God (Genesis 1:26-27). God loves the entire world (John 3:16). Jesus laid down His life for everyone in the entire world (1 John 2:2). The “entire world” obviously includes all ethnicities of humanity.

Jesus commands us to love each other as He loves us (John 13:34). If God is impartial, and loves us with impartiality, that means we need to love others with that same high standard. Jesus teaches at the end of Matthew 25 that whatever we do to the least of his brothers, we do to Him. If we treat a person with contempt, we are mistreating a person created in God’s image; we are hurting somebody that God loves and Jesus died for.

Racism is bad ANYWHERE in Salem. As far as the churches go, every single one of them are either racist, judgmental, rude, ignorant, or a combination of these. I've been to every church around here. I attended church for years. Finally, I decided the behavior and morals they're embedding upon others wasn't of my best personal interest. They always said one thing then acted out in a different manner. I'm not a Christian. I'm not Baptist, Catholic, or any other kind of religion. However, I am a believer. I do have faith in Him. I can pray anywhere. Church isn't the only way to speak to God. I believe we are all children of God, no matter what color. Racism is a town for the retired. Most of the people living here have lived here forever or have family roots here. Completely ridding Salem of racism is ideal, but our youth is the only way to do that; and I'm afraid the kids around here are just too cruel and selfish to force any sense into.

Very well written, kids now days are living what try been taught,, but racism is so different now days. Used to be related to ur color, now it's if u fat skinny, tatooed, skinny jeans or baggy, how u look in public. Honestly no one has a right to judge anyone. There is one that can, and he will when that day comes! I just hope I raised my kids to be more aware of people's feelings, and except everyone for who they are, not who or where they come from! I pray every day and no it is not in a church either. My relationship with the big guy is the strongest it has ever been and I think it has alot to do with a persons belief's personal relationship and the understanding of the BIBLE! And I am proud that my parents are not from here, because I was raised NOT to judge!

I know for a fact that the First Assembly of God is not in any way racist. Most of the children that go there (Teens) are actually pretty good kids and will praise and worship God with al they have, no matter who's watching. I ain't trying to start anything I just wanted to throw my opinion out there.Just saying the First Assembly of God is also not judgemental, rude ignorant, or any combination of these.Thank you.:)

States with small towns where blacks are not present; Idaho, Utah, Wisconsin, Georgia, Nebraska, Maine, Wyoming, Illinois, Oregon, Indiana. States where blacks are not present Montana and New Hampshire. I look at demographics all day from different states. Trust me, it's the cities that have populated with blacks. From the largest cities to small cities that are seeing a growth in minorities. A black girl who has visited the cornfields. In a town that host 19,000 people I saw us. This was Iowa, the city we stayed In was called coralville.

Take any given area, The more blacks that move in the more that area declines until it becomes a full out ghetto. You know it, I know it, and all you black and wigger friends know it.
Watts, Compton, Detroit, Chicago and many other down and out black ghettos were not always the way they are now. It all started with one negro and went down hill from there until they are what they are today. And don't think for one minute it can't happen here.

I know that it can happen here. I grew up in Independence Mo & graduated from a mixed race school system. It sucked! That being said, I've grown up since then and I've come to realize that there is good & bad in every color. Have you taken a GOOD look at the white trash in this area? I'm not too sure which would be worse for a neighbor.
