Dear "A teen mom",
As someone who has been in your shoes, it is quite irresponsible to state, "you couldn't help it." Unless of course you were raped and got pregnant that way. If so, then you could not help it. However, if you were not raped, you most certainly COULD help it, just as I could have.
Sincerely,
Been there...done that

Wow. Y'all think just because people have children at young ages, y'all pay taxes to us. WRONG. I got pregnant at 17 had him when I was 18. I garantee half of y'all dumbasses didn't pay anything towards me, y'all are ungrateful, some people own up to their young mistakes & raise GREAT children. Medical cards aren't even available if you actually work, working 50-60 hours a week making ends meet to give your child the best life ever. Don't waste your time talking shit about "Gchs teen moms" MOST of them grow up more mature than y'all will ever be!

I will gladly say I was a teen mom, I had a beautiful little girl when I was 18, got married and graduated high school all in the same year. Yes I will say there are some that get pregnant young and don't choose to grow up but I did. I took on my responsibilities of my daughter. I am now 32 years old and a mother to 7 children (4 are my step children). Was I thinking properly when I got pregnant, NO but I give myself credit and no the state did not help me out back then. Some teen moms are not bad, most happen to have their heads on their shoulders. Oh and by the way I went to GCHS. There was two other girls that was pregnant the same year I was and have made good choices as well they have great jobs as i speak. So watch what you say or other wise you have no clue what your talking about.

I think most people are probably referring to 14 & 15 year olds getting pregnant. If you were 18, you were an adult, in school or not. I am 32 and had my first child at 18, but I had graduated, was married, and had a job, before I got pregnant, THE WAY IT SHOULD BE!! I agree with the one who posted, unless you were raped, YOU COULD HELP IT!! Do you have some kind of disorder that makes you have sex? I didn't think so.

I don't care what you say but no one, who is 14 or 15, can take care of a child! Even if you do have a job while in school, it's not going to be enough to raise a child. There is no way you can be in school, work full time and take care of a baby like a responsible parent.

Parents need to do a better job of raising and watching their kids, boys & girls. I,m not saying lock them in their rooms, but be more involved, talk to the kids. Seriously, has everyone forgotten how to raise responsible, respectful children!!!
