If you do not like state troopers, do not call them or deal with them. Don't mess with them if you cannot handle their truthful attitudes! Don't get in trouble to have to DEAL with them!

Maybe cause people are cocky to them too. They at least enforce the law unlike the small time city/county cops. They don't take sides just because they are "friends" with someone!

Most of them speed down the road and then pull others over for doing the same thing they are doing! And for those that dont know its against the law for them to speed too! The only time it is legal for them to speed is when their emergency equipment is on! And dont get me wrong I have respect for what they do and there are some good ones but some abuse their authority!

Sometimes they can get to emergencies faster without their lights on. Ppl do crazy things when they see lights and sirens. And yes, there is a thin line between cocky and confident, our troopers are confident. If u don't like their answer, go elsewhere. Furthermore, if the job is so easy, step up and apply. Otherwise, don't complain. They don't get paid enuff to put up w the crap the do.

Most of our state and county police are good the only problem I have personally is when they speed down our roadways they know they wont be held accountable for breaking the very law that they enforce! And their insurance wont go up they dont have to miss work to go to court. And now days your personal conduct is used against you! Everything including your credit score! So if you get too many speeding tickets and have a bad credit score your insurance will go up for at least four years! Not fair! But it is said that life isnt fair!

You r so right. Not only does your car insurance go up and your credit score go down, but that simple speeding ticket will affect what you pay for house insurance. You probably can't even get a life insurance policy with a couple of minor tickets in the last few years. If you can get one it will cost you triple. So the city, state, county want more money from increased ticket writing while the average person gets screwed in the ground thorough the far reaching effects of even one speeding ticket. Insurance industry needs an overhaul. Don't think the cops or local governments give a damn. They don't.

Let's see if I read this right..."the city, state, county want more money from increased ticket writing while the average person gets screwed in the ground". Have you ever though of NOT speeding? I have been driving for 38 years and the last speeding ticket I got was when I was 16 years old. The local and any law enforcement write tickets for traffic violations to keep you and others safe. If someone sped through a yellow to red stop light and broad sided you...who's fault would it be? Yours for going when the light turns greens or theirs for running a red light, hitting your vehicle and injuring you? Would you expect the person who ran the red light and hit you and hurt you and tore up your vehicle to get a ticket for failure to stop at a red light? Or would you tell the office, "Oh no, no, don't right the speeder a ticket it might make his/her insurance go up. Let's just let mine go up because I had an accident that was no fault of mine.

You say this but you are the type that would be mad that it took the police so long to get to ur house. They can't drive lights and sirens to every call and the have about 500 square miles to cover between 2 to 3 county cops a shift so that why they have to drive a little faster then everyone else or they would never get anything done

Tunnel vision, of course I'd expect the other driver to be cited in that situation. Anyone that has driven over 6 wks knows car insurance goes up with each citation. Now we are all tied to our credit scores, times change, and my point was that speeding tickets go way past the expense and inconvenience they used to be. Today's speeding ticket has a more far reaching, detrimental effect on the average person than a simple ticket used to. Got it now?

Got it...just don't speed, stop at stop signs, stop at yellow, when you know it's about to change to red, wear your seat belt, don't talk on your cell and drive and don't be a real idiot and text on your cell while driving. Or go get a drivers manual and brush up on the rules of the road. Got it???? It's called being a responsible driver. Driving a vehicle is a privilege not a right. Got it all now????

If you believe they're mostly all right..ok whatever. They are human & have humanly mistakes as well as we do. I heard of a cop (county cop) who molested a child in his own family. I have also heard another county cop siding with a party just cause he had his hands in drug money with the other party.
I also agree it IS wrong to have them speed & act all good without ANY consequences.

I heard of a cop. I have also heard another county cop. Second hand knowledge discredits your entire statement.

If you do not know the cops I am talking about, then you cannot discredit me! I know one cop personally, he is deceased. But he hurt me PERSONALLY as a child!
