During the school board meeting tonight one of our elected school board officials certainly showed her true colors by voting against the tax increase. I am personally against the tax increase for the sole reason the Board has not and will not be held accountable for their financial decisions. Kelley what a disgrace to the position. You have set back for the last several years voting time after time to spend money the Board knew they didn't have. The Board voted over and over to spend to the point the school system is now in a serious financial condition. After your numerous votes to spend you now have the nerve to vote against the tax increase? Just what are your motives for serving on this board. You showed your true colors tonight. Your interest is not in the school system, kids, teachers, etc. your interest must be self serving. You must be planning for another big political race down the road. Shame! Shame! You showed your true colors tonight by playing the political game we tax payers know all to well and see played out daily by our elected officials by voting to spend without accepting responsibility. Your votes to over spend and now state I just can't vote for a tax increase seems to be talking out of both sides of your mouth. I hope when your next big political run comes people remember tonight.

If you are correct it sounds like a typical liberal politician to me. That kind is driving this country off a cliff.

At least someone had the nerve to do what was best for the county during these tough economic times. As far as the school We should pull our kids out and send them to another school here.

People you need to wake up! Whittaker and the Board had already voted for a tax increase by spending money she/they knew the district didn't have. How can she raise her hand in public to vote no and behind closed doors was spending the district into the red All she did by voting no, was patted the tax payers on the back and gave the impression she was standing up for them. Don't you remember Kelly's tactics over the FF / Lowes school issue. She and the board had already stabbed the tax payers in the back before the vote for the tax increase was taken. She only voted no because she didn't have the brass to speak to what she and the board had already done. Again she talked out of both sides of her mouth by doing one thing and saying another. When they were overspending they knew the only way to create additional revenue was to raise taxes and they didn't care. Whittaker has an agenda and it isn't the school district

I don't agree with the tax increase, and neither does a lot of people that live in this district. But that doesn't give you the Right to talk about her this way. As a friend and a coworker I stand by Kelly and agree that what your doing on here is wrong and immature. How about you take your crap somewhere else and not on this immature site. Even if she did run again for Office, I stand by her because she is a Great Women and she keeps her word! Your an adult, how about you act like one!

All politicians are nice to your face but when you turn your back watch out. Kelly has been known to make several behind the back moves ask people who deal with her outside of work.

Kilroy, you are so full of BS, you must stink when people are next to you.

Have you forgotten that Governor Fletcher provided $5M for the FF school. Apparently it more convenient to spread BS, and probably smell like it too, rather than offer FACTS.

You have no facts, you simply do not like Kelly Whitaker... WHY? Are you prejudice against women being successful in the public eye.

You are nothing more than a COWARD -- who is completely full of BS -- STINK, STINK, STINK!

Easy to criticize from behind a screen name.

Makes one less inhibited when that one is anonymous.

You are obviously referring to Kilroy and his "anonymous" attacks against Kelly Whitaker with false, inaccurate, and very skewed "facts."

Very good point!

Kelly stands up and votes against the tax, then turns around and votes to keep Cuba open. How can you pay to keep a school open with no tax dollars. I would like for her to explain her methodology. I hope she counts pills better than she can count dollars. How did she get out of pharmacy school? What agenda does she really have I am confused

Yes you are so right they do not believe in a good solid debate. That might produce good positive results. It is all about their own agenda. I know all this from a personal position. As Tony Smith once said I'll Qoute what he said about the tax "we elect these people to do a job let them do their job". So in the eyes of the elected they have no acountabilty to no one until election time when they will tell you over and over how they want to get elected to serve you. Where is the service without accountailty and responsibilty. Oh by the way where was the site base committee recomendation from cuba at. This school system we have will stand up and tell how we want parents involved untill you don't agree with everthing they do then they don't want your participation no more. Just like the two awards given out at the last school board meeting note it had ties to their financial support to the system thats the only way they want your involvement. And by the way they already have a buyer for cua school thats been in the works for a while.
