Send them to Mayfield or Northside any place but GCHS. The teachers do not care about the students or the parents of those students. It is sad but true. Hope it changes but doubt it will.

They do too care. Teachers don't teach for the pay, and you should've seen my cousin's principal/teachers. They visited her while she was in the hospital (in Fulton) and stuff...that's more than my teachers in South Fulton would do.

And class sizes do play a part in that problem of not caring. A teacher showing a bit more care towards a student (intentional or not) could lead to them being bullied...

It isn't just Graves that acts that way. It's all schools, but in return a lot of the kids with money don't act as bad as a less fortunate kid. The poor kids most of the time come from broken homes, living in bad neighborhoods and just have a different up bringing.
Not the kids fault, just society today.
Don't blame the school, look at the kids/parents.

My senior year in Mayfield High a teacher came from GCHS to replace a retired AP chem teacher. He taught with powerpoints, let the class watch movies any chance he could and threw tantrums all the time. He would give homework assignments an 80% if it wasn't fully completed even if you skipped a single question, and he fails it if only half the work was done (instead of maybe giving appropriate grades for appropriate work). At the end of the year he never showed up to the award ceremonies and the only reason I won the AP Chem award was simply because I was the only one who could tolerate him. Nobody passed the AP Chemistry exam that year.

So yeah, that's MHS's experience with Graves County teachers.

No it isn't money it is if your child acts like a thug they will be treated that way teachers can't sacrifice a whole class just because your child doesn't care
