I don't know anything about this but the log trucks all need to slow down. They shouldn't even be allowed to drive 55 mph. That is too fast and a lot of them go faster than that. They are very dangerous! Everybody please watch out for them. Don't ever take a chance pulling out when one is in sight. It takes a lot for them to stop! Please be careful. God bless you all.

The 17 yr. old girl was in the truck drivers lane. Its hard a big truck to stop right on point. It was either hit the school bug full of kids or go the way he was going wich was the way the girl was. Sad, this is why teens dont need to be driving. But i do pray for the familys. To many teens dieing before christmas.

I really hate this, so sad. My very deepest sympathy to the family and friends.

Please everybody, give all those log trucks A LOT OF ROOM!!! They can not stop easy at all. I do believe there should be a reduced speed limit for them, especially on 121. It sounds drastic but really they shouldn't even be allowed on the road around here during the same time we are trying to get kids to and from school. Several years ago another child died in an early morning collision witth a log truck on 121.

I'm sorry for the truck driver too.:( Again, my very deepest sympathy to the friends and especially to the family.:(

Lesson Learned...Don't believe everything you hear. This is how rumors get started. Why risk spreading lies? People just need to keep their mouth shut unless you are stating something 1st hand or witnessed something that you know for a fact is true. The other child I mentioned being killed several years ago was killed less than a mile down the road from the site of this wreck.

All of you are harping on the trucks running 55 and they should driver slower. How many of you professional drivers have passed these log trucks. Yes, tragic accident. Don't blame it all on the Log Truck. The driver did everything he could to avoid the accident. Remember his family may suffer too. He may never be able to get behind the wheel to drive again. Yes, she pulled into his path of this trucker, a very unfortunate accident. You should realize that you can't pull out and expect them to stop. I've seen a lot more wreck-less drivers on this stretch of road than the log trucks. I was run off the road recently not far from the accident site by some school kids. They passed and was in my lane, they thought it was apparently funny, I took the ditch and they didn't even stop. She was pulling out of key bottom road going toward town and the log truck was north bound going to Wickliffe. She SHOULD have seen him. Like I said, very tragic and prayers to the families involved including the truck driver.

I have been on long hauls with my trucker husband and I can account for all the people who dnt pay attention to big trucks this is an accident plain and simple and the child lost her life and the truck driver is just as devasted for having to live with the guilt even tho it wasnt his fault. no matter whos at fault it is a tragic loss and no parent should have to bury a child so close to christmas prayers for the families of this girl and truck driver thats definitely going to be a hard situation to deal with
