The sad fact is that there are a large group of Mayfield fans that will cheer their kids on to victory and be so proud of their little darlings. Then they go home and teach them how to be drug dealers or shoplift or break into innocent peoples homes. Some of you may be offended by my comments, but go to the Graves Jail site and look up the names of Starks, Sherrill, Jones, Jackson. If this does not prove that families can be destroyed by a parent's example.

Toray Connor is def the best all-time Card. Choo Choo was a head-busting fool! That dude is cut like straight up glass. That fool can't clean a car worth a damn, but he could tote the rock. Dude played for the Falcons and then was a pro body builder. Get at cha boy! Toray was a beast, and that can't be denied! And if you don't believe me, just ask the dude...he will straight up ear rape you!

Marcus Moss said besides himself that he thought Chris Barnes was one of the best players that played at Mayfield.

yes sad sad. Too many to name. My son played with Terrence Biggers. He was good but went to murray state and got busted for drugs. Now he calls himself a rapper. Those people have low ambition.

Steve Cope. Late 80s. That one catch he made was great and then you out in those two tackles. Wow just wow.

Otis Elliot was the best running back Mayfield Ever had. A lot of the young people will not know who I am talking about but do some research and you will learn about him...

Heard today that Mayfield's finest football player, J Jackson, is expecting his 2nd child by a 2nd girl and hasn't even been out of high school a year yet. They might want to teach sex education there. Or maybe he is just trying to build up the program.

I was a transfer from Louisville Seneca my senior year. I grew up watching L-ville football and played against Chuck Coleman,(Tennessee)
a great back as well as Marcus Hendley (Louisville), but when I got to Mayfield and practiced every day against Marcus Moss and Charles Parott I realized that they were both special talents. Marcus and Charles were great athletes and good friends as well. As for Mike Hancock, he was a sophmore QB in 81 and a good athlete, backed up Jeff Flood. We should have gone to state that year, but missed it with two losses.

I came from a high school in Missouri with no football program. I went to MSU in 1980 with some guys from Mayfield and they invited me to Mayfield HS football game. So the very first high school football game I ever saw featured Marcus Moss. It was like watching a man among boys. I'm pretty sure he scored 5 touchdowns and ran for around 200 yards. I've never seen anyone play like that again except for maybe Anthony Thompson who was a running back for IU. I saw home run for over 230 yards against Ohio St. in Bloomington once.

Will Jay Bennett was a decent enough ball player. His special talent was hiding his homosexual desires. Come out of the closet already dude.

I was going to nominate Flood, due to the fact that he proved you can make every mistake known to the game over and over, play after play and still be allowed on the field. Another "Title" year wasted on the 'who-you-know' brotherhood. I'd bet he holds the record for most interceptions thrown in a HS career.

Hancock was classic - he just didn't have a line to protect him.
