Moss was the man. Say what you want but when he was on not a soul could stop him. He deserves the respect of Mayfield and Graves co for his ability.

Where is he today? Is being a good example to you or does he shame us all. That's the problem, football stars to felons.
yep said it right!Frog Biggers wasn't great but a prime example of future felon. Terrell Starks was awesome but look now. Damn blacks

Does it really matter? Most are just home grown and never go anywhere. Many Are just a new batch of drug dealers or users. Many try to poke as many nutty females as possible and unfortunately have another batch of football players with no future. Sorry about the negativity.

Some of them did go to college I know Moss played 2 years of college football at Murray before getting injured. How about David Youngblood who I think played 4 years at Ky. He played basketball and football at Mayfield.

RIP David Fowler. I grew up with David in Lebanon, Ky., before he moved to Mayfield. Best athlete I ever played with.

Mayfield has had some truly great players over the years but Marcus Moss was by far the best. He would have ended up in the NFL is he didn't have "personal issues." Same thing happened to Micah Jones...so much potential.

I stand corrected Younblood played football at Murray. Joe Prince played at Ky. Moss again was the best. Regardless of personal issues he deserves some respect for helping to build a foundation to a true dynasty at Mayfield.

I think Mark Lawson set a school record 8 interceptions his jounior yr and 6 senior yr.. Record got broke 7yrs later. Class of 84 had great defensive players. If Mark Lawson was Quarterback in 84 they wld have won state..

If all any of them have is how good they were at football "back then" they don't have much do they? What are they doing now? WHO has been successful at life? Who is helping other kids and not selling them or their family dope? Who has a string of illigitimate kids that taxpayers are paying for? WHO HAS REALLY AMOUNTED TO ANYTHING??? I want to hear about them.

I would like to take this time to thank everyone who attended David Fowler's memorial service on Saturday. The family really appreciated all of the kindness and gratitude that have been shown by all. We would also like to thank Coach Joe Morris by allowing us to borrow David's jersey for the service. We are forever in your debt. I am also thrilled to say that everyday will forever be game day for David. Bravo.

I did not know David but I am very sorry for your loss. May God comfort your entire family and the friends David left behind.

All this talk about who's the best. The best thing to do is have a real forum at mayfield high on how we can better prepare our future mayfield football players for success after football. It's sad over 800 wins and 90% of player dnt make it. God has a plan.. No one is perfect God has a plan..

Exactly. You are right, God has a plan for everybody's life but most never see it come to pass.

I played with Otis Eliott back in the 50's. I consider him one of, if not the best player Mayfield ever had.

"what about now", you sound so hypocritical talking about ppl have how they've "made it now" or not made it in life. It's THEIR life, let them live it. These men were sensations in HIGH SCHOOL football, in case you forgot to read the headlines!! Seems that your just a hater. So, let me ask you the same question, what the are you doing with your life????? Clearly nothing but hating and bashing others because you got nowhere in life either...? That's what it sounds like.

And for Marcus moss, he had an injury in college and that's what stopped him from continuing!!!!! He was the best when he played hands down!!!!

Hopefully there will be more players to come along and be something big for our town, give us something to be proud of and route for!!! Take the negativity elsewhere because you probably couldn't do what they've done! Some are born with skill and some work for it, and some never have any. But don't bash the ones who do, they choose to act on it because the good lord gave it to them and they want to be something in life, support them instead of bashing them!!!!
