ripped off

Mayfield, KY

Just going to vent a little since I feel as though Applebees in Mayfield just ripped me and my fellow co-workers off. Not only did they not have have of the items listed on their website, they gave us small portions of the meals we ordered and screwed up every single order we placed. The food was cold and no dipping sauce or spoons to eat with. Total cost for the entire order was soooo over priced we will never call in an order from there again.

Did you call and speak to the manager about the problems with your order? If not, try that. Keep in mind that Applebee's in Mayfield is new, and the staff is mostly local, and have never worked in such a place before. We have been several times, and the food is substandard compared to other Applebee's, and the customer service needs some serious training, but in time, they will get it right. We support them because we are glad to have a nice place to go locally.

I'm curious about your cold food, though ... if you ordered take-out, its not going to stay warm on the way to your workplace.

That's what you get for letting quality locally-owned establishments like Hill's go out of business. You have to support good local businesses, or else they will die. Applebee's 'food' is the kind of cold reheated slop you'll be 'enjoying' from now on.

Applebee's may be considered 'fine dining' in flyover country or in economically depressed places like Maysfield, but to the rest of America, it's just another glorified fast food joint. It can't hold a candle to a quality independent restaurant.

This is just hear-say... so where is your proof and how did you hear this?

The restaurant has only been open a few months... not long enough to establish any kind of idea as to how it will do.

Actually, I find your story without any creditability... however, it could be true... so prove it!

No, it is not closing. Yes, this is a stupid thread. There is already another thread discussing Mayfield Applebee's.

My sister and I ate there a couple of weeks ago. Neither one of us will go back. It was awful. The salad was chopped up so fine, it was mostly water, I asked for crackers, they brought me saltines. Horrible!!!!And the price was outrageous. I would rather make the drive to Paducah than eat in most restaurants here in Mayberry.

I hate the cramped seating and the booth seats are awful. Went the other day for lunch, literally sat there for 10 minutes with no one aknowledging us probably because we were seated awkwardly next to another table. Got up and left then they wanted to get us a waitress. I'm patient at restaurants but when you sit there with waitresses and others walking by and nobody says anything to us like "someone will be right with you" I'm done

I love how people are blaming inexperience. That's crap. I happen to know that a majority of the people hired have worked in other restaurants, some even in metropolitan Paducah. A few have even been managers at these other restaurants. If you look at most of these people however, it is clear as to why they aren't still at the other restaurants. One posted pictures taken at "work" they other night. Judging from the lack of proper attire, amount of make-up and general coverage(or rather lack there-of) their boobs, it would appear that these waitresses were....at the wrong job, looking for a hook-up after their shift(as Amigo implied above) or just generally confused as to cleanliness standards.
I'm sorry ma'am, I did not order a side of glitter with my steak. Now if you would kindly stop taking selfies for a moment, remove your boob from my plate, I would like a steak without the glitter and hairspray. Thanks!
*and if anyone wishes to deny this, I can name all 5 girls in the photo(2 of which husbands would not be happy, not surprised at all, but not happy)
