Why have I heard so much negativity about JU Kevil? Perhaps its the high rate of turn over, or the low pay, or the fact that they claim to be non-profit but get our tax money every paycheck. They also have the "clients" work for pennies on the dollar. I have worked in this industry when I lived in Florida, and we never operated a " sweat shop" or took in tax revenue. The pay? I admit it is low for the type of work you are dealing with, however we know this when we get into the field. In case you are unsure, JU Kevil works with or I should say people with mental disorders work for JU Kevil. Why is my tax money continually going to this corporation without them opening the books to the public? Its time we revoke this tax!

it is not the centers fault, but rather than the board. The board does not care that the "dictator" treats everyone like sh*t. The board is the problem along with L.J. These people are friends and nothing will ever change until the board starts caring or the dictator is removed. Or for the best interest in the clients, both are removed.

this places prices are crap anything of value they want top dollar not knowing if it works or not would it be to much to check to item to see if it works to save the time and money of messin with it it'snot that hard to plug stuff in

i am so glad to see this post thank you all!for your accurate comments , the director needs to be fired! as the office manager, ju kevil is a sweatshop everyone is treated like slaves they all work so hard with nothing but threats and whip cracking .look at their incidents disabled being left at bowling alleys because supervisers are overworked, hiring outside help not disabled after hours to compact cardboard because recycled cardboard is high$ and do production. mentally disabled out side during winter recycling with a torpedo heater there was a fire is it not a fire code violation open flames with cardboard stacked to cieling? the directors either do not know whats going on or they choose not to.ju kevil should be ashamed and its a discrace to my community i am so proud of

The director is to blame for it all. Her and the office manager are to blame. They have their heads up each others ass all day long. The office manager can get away with murder. But let someone else do the same she will fire you or treat you like crap! The board needs to get involved.

Treat there employees like crap. Upper management does not care about anyone but each other! The director and office manager sit in each others office all day bullshitting, but let oters do that and BAM you are in trouble. Those two need to go and it will be a much better place. Our tax dollars are going to this hell hole.

i put my money on the fact that most of these comments are from employees still there!.due to the fact that all comments stopped after a couple of days. jeuvinile comments that no one will take seriousely if i am right get some backbone and confront,stand up for yourself , or shut up!

the whole J U Kevil thing is a joke I know someone who called them to pick up some good used furniture and they told them they don't pickup junk but on the sign it clearly says we pickup what's wrong with these idiots are they letting the inmates run the asylum

Im sure the comments are from past employees. If a present employee posted something they would probably be fired. The director is not a good director. She is only nice to the employees that she likes. If she doesnt like you. Then you are given the cold shoulder. From what I hear it is a bad place to work. I am tired of paying taxes on this place. Everyone should get together and put it a stop to paying this place money.

Does it really matter if they are past or present employees or not?Sounds like a crappy place to work. I have heard from others that you do get treated badly if you are not one of her "whipping boys".

it doesnt matter if they are past or present, all i am saying is speak up for yourself, maybe somethings will change. dont bitch if you dont speak up for yourself i know supervisors work real hard there, but lets face it you can can paid 8 dollars an hour anywhere!?for alot less work and abuse have more respect for yourself and others will respect you!

Never have worked there but know how they operate. And Kevil Corner does need a new staff. It seems my donations never make it to the sales floor. Staff likes them, keeps them, never pays for them.

I know the director very well, she is a true christian, a loving mom, a grand mom, a wife, a friend just like all of us. She has a job to do and she is doing quiet well. I think the one that needs to worry is the one employee gone that couldnt even keep her husband happy and lost him to another woman.. Why are people always pointing a finger.. Let the director do her job, and lets all get a life and move on....What about the hunger problem in Graves county
