For those who have had either doc can you please give me more of an idea about how these docs seem to handle delivery/c-sections - I'm going to have a c-section just wondering about the docs!

I am expecting and started a similar post last month. Look at "Giving Birth at Jackson Purchase." I didn't get a whole lot of useful information, but I did get some. I have Wynstra and I like him. I don't get the feeling that he would be one to push a c-section, but I have the same concerns. I've only had one appointment with Christianson and he seemed nice enough. I get chills, however, from nurse midwife Candy. I'm sure she's good, but she's just so rude and abrupt. I wish you the best of luck!

Dr. Wynstra is awful. I had a diagnosis that was incompatible with life and he was not compassionate at all. If you have a choice don't delivery in mayfield!!!

I had Christensen 1st - horrible experience - he scared me from day one saying there was no baby and that I need a d & c - next there was a sac 2 weeks later but nothing in - after that 2 weeks later there was material in the sac no heart beat - fast forward 9 1/2 weeks finally saw a baby and heard the heart beat at 13 weeks - I was terrified the whole pregnancy - then comes delivery I was 42 weeks and 2 days I gave birth to a baby who pooped inside (which could have turned out dangerous) ne-ways baby comes out and I bust completely open (not tear) but bust and as he stitching me up for 45 min I felt everything the needle going in out and the pain and burning sensation and all I could do was scream and beg for something that would allow me not to feel the pain and he gave me nothing saying my epidural was good enough when I could clearly feel everything - I was traumatized and ended up w/ a very hard recovery - 2 1/2 years later I still feel the pain! So far w/ the pregnancy I have Dr. Wynstra and he has been wonderful from the beginning - we went in and he first had his nurse talk to us, did an exam, answered some questions, after we met in his office to discuss options, then I had a quick ultrasound to make sure things were fine, then blood work - great experience. However this time due to all the damage I recieved I'm having to have a c-section - with Christensen I was 42 weeks and 2 day over, had my water broke at the beginning, almost 23 hours later gave birth after having very slow contractions that had no pattern and several hours of pushing which that long did cause a lot of damage - hoping Dr Wynstra w/ be able to give me a much better experience!

Jihads Dr wynstra and LOVED him up until I was about 41 weeks and all he did was kept pushing c section on me solely because I hadn't dilated any yet. I didn't like that but that's the only complaint I had at all. Ended up delivering my son naturally only a 7 hour labor!

Dr.Wynstra is a GREAT doctor....I did not have any problems with him during my pregnancy nor my labor. He told me many things to expect when I got ready to delivery-if I was to have another baby he would be my first choice!!

I think Dr. C is fabulous. I had to have an emergency c-section and he was wonderful. Very caring person and doctor.

good news. Dr Burnett is coming back to mayfield. I don't know about the other 2 doctors mentioned because my doctor was Dr. Green, but my mom sees Dr.Burnett in Murray in a few weeks and she was told on the phone from Murray Womans Clinic that Dr. Burnett is coming back to Mayfield. I know many people are pleased with her ability as a Doctor. Shes so good my mom that lives in Murray is going to come to Mayfield every year to see Dr. Burnett. Hope this is good news to many.
