Has anyone heard any updates on this sad story today? Have they found any of the other 3 that are still missing? Does anyone know who they were?

I've heard the boys missing were Tyler Williams, Jacob Scott & McKenzie Stanley. There is a rumor going around in the last 30 mins that they found them, but that has NOT been confirmed at this point. Bless these boys and their families. I can't imagine the heartache they are going through right this moment.

Thank you for the update. Please let me know if you hear anything else. Do you know the name of the one that they found yesterday? I heard he was at the hospital recovering, thank goodness. I know from experience, this is the worst thing a parent could ever face. My prayers are with them.

They found Tyler Heathcott yesterday. He is in the hospital recovering. Have not heard anything else since yesterday. What a horrible accident.

The last I heard Tyler was in Vanderbuilt. When he was found, he had been in the water for several hours, treading water. His core body temp was down to like 83. He was supposed to have been speaking this morning, so I suppose he's out of the coma, thankfully. I wish we had more concrete information. Rumors are running rampant - no one knows what to believe any more.

what happen boat wreck?
#7 Jan 13, 2009
i live a quarter mile away from where this happened, but I don't think Tyler was left in the water for hours but who knows he very well could have been, a nearby neighbor saw the boat capsizing and called in and when they had a video on the news it was still daylight, plus they had called the search off at 6 p.m. and didn't even look for these poor boys again until after 8 a.m. the following day (they could have searched sooner) However I heard they were wearing wading boots and that's where many people think things went wrong (hard to swim with hunting gear and boots that go up to your waste)

I noticed the news toned it down a little I am assuming this is out of respect for the families. This is sooooo horrible I cannot imagen what the families are going through.

Please respond to
I am pleading for your help or anyone's help with connections to folks who
have search and rescue boats. We have contacted Texas Equa-search this
morning and they are trying to gain permision to enter the search area.
There evidentally is alot of RED TAPE to making that occur. We also have
the Stanley family making contacts with representatives and senators
(Nesler & Ken Winters). We are basically working all angles trying to
assist with gaining additional help and relief for the volunteers. We need
consistency as we are dealing with people who are all volunteers and have
other work or jobs they must attend to. We basically have people coming
and going, but no consistency. I need your help desperately. I would be
forever greatful for any and all assistance you can give. We don't need
food. We need connections.
Can anyone have access to Mitch McConnell or even former politicians who
have those connections? Do you have any connections at Coast Guard,
JAKE and MACKENZIE home TODAY!!!!

Who "exactly" needs to give the ok for the search team to get involved? It would help to know that so that maybe we can all start calling that office & demanding that they give permission.
Do they need more people (citizens to show up) to help w/ the search?

I heard on the news thatTexas and Lousiana will be here in the morning. Thanks to the Lord He is hearing our prayers.

If they are not found by Saturday my husband and I are taking our boat to go help! He is really good when it comes to the lakes etc. I hope they find them before then, but I do hope that every one with a boat will be out on the water this weekend to do all they can! It will be cold as heck, but I can't stand knowing they do not have their boys!! This is soooo sad I don't know any of them but it breaks my heart. It could be any of our kids!!!

From what I understand, they went in the water from the boat ramp off Little Bear Highway.
#17 Jan 14, 2009
They put in at Nickell Cemetery at LBL and crossed over to Rocky Point / near Little Bear....that is down from Bethel Church near Tatumsville and not to far from Moors

How did the search go today? Has anyone heard anything new?
#20 Jan 15, 2009
From The Scott’s:
We promised everyone an update. Email is the easiest way to make that
happen as our phone's are overloaded. Please give everyone an update at
Lubrizol plant & Morningstar plant for us.
The search was called off yesterday afternoon because of wind gusts
creating significant safety issues for the boats and rescue workers. The
boats are icing over. There is a wind advisory until noon today so we
don't expect them to go out until noon today. The weather definitely has
not cooperated. Rosco, the cadaver dog, a large yellow lab came yesterday
from Montgomery County, Tennessee. Rosco did give some areas of interest.
However, the winds were affecting Rosco. Where Rosco picks up his scent,
the scent may have actually originated from 100 ft away--the scent being
carried by the wind. We actually need NO WIND for Rosco. Rosco's owner
has agreed to return on Friday if Jake and MacKenzie have not been found.
At the small pavillion area at the incident site, Morissey Contractors came
and enclosed the pavillion so there is a haven to warm. Churches across
multiple counties, companies across multiple counties have kept the rescue
workers fed inside that pavillion area. We've had propane heaters donated
so inside the pavillion, as of yesterday, was a big help to escape the
elements. The plants & other concerned folks took care of seeing that the
American Red Cross had diesel fuel for their equipment.
The mobile incident command unit was set up yesterday due to the need for a
central control point with organization and data gathering. Today, we were
assured that additional people were being pulled to assist in that data
gathering and collection of info from all the various teams that have been
established. This will help with the chaos! There are hundreds of radios
between the teams so we really needed this incident command point to
control communications in & out.
Please continue to pray that the weather will cooperate and winds will die
down where we can get the sonar equipment and divers back in the water.

Please pray rescue workers & divers stay safe.
So many people are wanting to know what they can do to help. There has been
a rescue fund established:

David and I so NEED to find something positive in this trajedy. We are
thankful that teens across multiple counties are going to church for prayer
services. We are thankful that teachers have the leadership to hold and
offer up prayer services within the schools. Kids have called from the
school and told me about all the projects they are involved in as we
prepare for funerals, at some point. Sounds like they are not learning
about reading, writing, and arithmetic, but hopefully this is the BEST
learning experience they could be receiving right now.(BE right with God
and be ready to leave this world--you never know when that might be.)
I also have to remind myself each minute, Jake and MacKenzie, are not in
the water. That's just the shell in the water. The soul has gone onto
heaven. We also have to stay busy and not sit and think. When we sit
idle, we break. God has our children in his arms. We have family &
friends there to greet them in heaven.(Our most recent addition to heaven
was my cousin Caitlyn, age 18, who died in September.) She's there to
welcome him, as well as grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Jake,
Trevor, and MacKenzie are all duck hunting in heaven, and having one big
I love everyone & am so thankful for your good works & acts of kindness!
The Williams & Mr & Mrs. Stanley are also so very thankful for everything.
The Heathcott's, Williams, Stanley's and Scott's are forever BONDED.
Please pray hard and use this experience as a positive one to make a change
in your life and in your families lives!
