Yes, but some people are willing to forget and keep quiet if they are paid enough. Stiff the taxpayers and lawyer and family enjoys the check.

Almost three million dollars for running a stop sign. That is pretty good. I doubt the family will think about her as they spend the money...however...

If the family really care about her and since she was an educator, maybe they need to put the money to some real use - set up a scholarship fund in her name.

How much is your moms life worth to you? Arkansas doesn't have enough money to pay for what that p o s cop did to their mother. He was going 100 through town and had no regard for any of the tax payers families safety. He is paid to protect us not kill us. This guy should be sitting in prison with bubba every night for the rest of his life. Instead he goes free to run her and her families name in the mud. Before you run this family down ask yourself what if it were your mom or better yet what if it were your child? Would Arkansas have enough money?

well at least my mom knows how to stop at stop signs and If it were my mom that did it, it would be a great lost but I would not be asking for money because it would be wrong to benefit from her mistake. All the teacher had to do was to stop and stay stopped for the traffic and she would still be alive today. Yes the cop was wrong but so was the woman who failed to yield. Giving her family almost 3 millions dollars for her mistake is a travesty.

This my last post so I will leave with this. The Family deserved NOTHING and imo it was all about money in the end in spite of what they say.

The trooper involved has since been arrested for DWI. A person might be arrested on his last DWI, but it's unlikely on his first.

Yeah... U do need to leave it alone p.o.s., they lost their mother... They don't need the money... Why should the p.o.s cop get off with nothing when he was in the wrong... & if I remember right, she did stop and proceeded thru, she prob didn't factor in how fast the (yes, I'll say it again) P.O.S officer was going over a freakin 100 mph?? I mean really... Who in the hell are u to get on here and talk smack about what they deserve and don't? He killed their mother, daughter, sister.... Maybe one day you will be in there shoes...

look dumma$$! That's why they had educated people studying this case and not sum jacka$$ like yourself.

When a person is traveling over 100mph it will appear that he/she is driving slow and is located at a further distance.

so the teacher thought she had time to pull out because it appeared the cop was further back.

He didnt have his lights on and she had no way of knowing it was an emergency. Since he was driving over 100 mph he caught up to her in a blink of an eye and hit her!

Also, I don't think the officer was saying nice things about the woman he killed for everyone to hear and it all came out in court.

I'm sure it was an accident. But dont hate the family for seeking justice for their mother.

The deserved the money and it was the cop's faults.

Then he got a dwi. If he had remorse for human life then he wouldnt be drinking and driving. He could have killed again.

Say a prayer for him. I think he needs one. I'm sure he's got it tough too. He's got to live with this tragedy everyday and it's affected his life too.

Forgive like Jesus did. But let the teacher rest and learn from this. Quit hating on everyone. Pray for the cop. You can't bring her back. It's done and over with.
