Standard & Poor’s on Monday revised its credit outlook on the United States government to stable from negative.

So where are the conservatives applauding this? Nowhere! You would think that being the patriotic politicians and people they are they would view this would be great news for our country.

You mean that its OK that the USA has already taken a credit downgrade?
Why would anyone be happy about that?

Unfortunately, there is a laughing fat truck driver who hangs out around here who requires much correction, and often, these posts do need to be explained to him.

2. No.

3. I have not a clue, do you?

4. So what do I think is good about not being rated any lower, I could think of a great deal of good things.

But one thing is for damn sure, I will not have to, will I?

Since this national credit increase is due in great part to the end of the Bush tax cuts for the rich, I really doubt Fox News or most Republicans and right leaning Independents would care to discuss it.

I will be happy when America is restored to late second term Reagan status or, at this point, I would even take second term Clinton status. At least with those two we weren't the laughing stock of the world. The only thing that will satisfy me with Obama is when his second term is over and he leaves office.

Well, lets just take a look at history in those "late second term
Reagan" years.

(1988 During Reagan's administration, the unemployment rate declined from 7.5% to 5.4%, with the rate reaching highs of 10.8% in 1982 and 10.4% in 1983, averaging 7.5% over the eight years.

His policy of "peace through strength" (also described as "firm but fair") resulted in a record peacetime defense buildup including a 40% real increase in defense spending between 1981 and 1985

Congress passed and Reagan signed into law tax increases of some nature in every year from 1981 to 1987

In order to cover newly spawned federal budget deficits, the United States borrowed heavily both domestically and abroad, raising the national debt from $997 billion to $2.85 trillion
Reagan described the new debt as the "greatest disappointment" of his presidency

The Beirut barracks bombing resulted in the deaths of 241 American servicemen and the wounding of more than 60 others by a suicide truck bomber.

granted amnesty to approximately three million illegal immigrants who entered the United States prior to January 1, 1982, and had lived in the country continuously.

Iran–Contra affair

Reagan's popularity declined from 67% to 46% in less than a week, the greatest and quickest decline ever for a president.

The scandal resulted in fourteen indictments within Reagan's staff, and eleven convictions.

Was 1981 or 1982 late in Reagan's second term? Were thos tax increases "income tax" increases? Is Obama sorry for his debt and deficit increases? No. Is Obama man enough to admit that more government spending is wrong as Reagan did? No. Did the Beirut bombings last 7 hours without response from Reagan? No. Did he simply go back to bed as Obama did with Benghazi? No. Did Reagan blame it on a video afterwards? No. I believe the amnesty bill didn't make it past the House on the first go around. It wasn't until the human rights activists (mainly made up of democratic socialists) showed up and got the bill a second chance where it fianlly passed. Did it fix things as it was promised to do? Predictably, no. If you think so, then why do we need a second round and how did things get so bad with our immigration situation? How did Reagan's approval rating finish? at almost 60% where it started. What about Obama to this point? A full 13 points below where it started. We'll have to see where it finishes but I bet it won't be near 60%.

OMG, lmao, try a Gallup poll at 51% from Jan.31 through Feb 2, 1981.

Being it was a Gallup poll you can easily add a 4% Republican bias to that so in reality it was about 47%.

And your Benghazi story is as a big of lie as that "close to 60%" bull shit.

Why don't you just grow a pair and say your dislike the president because he is pro choice and that he is black.

You were really showing your true colors when you posted this:

"The only thing that will satisfy me with Obama is when his second term is over and he leaves office"

Need I go back and repost how you stereotyped the back race, the derogatory comments you made about black people, the religion you wear on your sleeve to rationalized your behavior, would you like me to repost those to prove I am correct, or would you like to just take my word for it?

You are the biggest faggot racist troll that topix has and all this from that little town of Salem.
The only thing you are "correct" about is that you are going to defend the most hostile regime America has seen since FDR.
Maybe Obama won't like you as much as you seem to think and you might end up in a FEMA camp run by the Black Panthers.

I agree, because of people like Barney, you can not credit the gains we have made thus far to a congress who has passed less bills than any Congress in history.

Before you tell me there have been no gains, I suggest you look at the markets today and compare them to Jan 21, 2009.,

Obama has already presided over the net creation of more American jobs than did his predecessor, George W. Bush, in his eight in the White House. That's the conclusion of a new analysis released Tuesday by Factcheck.org

Easy to call me clueless, you will have a hard time proving it, but Go ahead and try, if you think you can do it.

Any time you feel the desire to prove me (incorrect) on any thing please just jump right on it.

Let us see how much you know about history and politics.

Please explain why you label a president who lead a country out of a depression as a "hostile regime".

Can you present facts as well as you did your name calling, child like, rant above>
