In the case of homosexuality, it is clearly a sin in GOD'S JUDGEMENT according to His Word.

Wow - there are already 47 different "Lutheran" denominations? I realize anyone can start a churhc and call themselves Lutheran, but what exactly makes a denomination Lutheran?

The facts do show that mainstream Protestantism is fracturing and dying. There is a large number of nonbelievers in the Western World due to the espousal of false doctrine in the last 75 years.

So you think the Ten Commandments are God's only rules for mankind? LOL! That must be why God ordered homosexuals to be put to death "without fail."

Nooooo.

The Bible doesn't address same-sex marriage at all, and says very little about gay people in general.

Now Jesus did address the matter directly. He stated that adhering to two commandments was required to enter his kingdom. And gay folks are in no way barred from living those two simple rules.

If you have a problem with God creating gay folks, argue with him directly. Standing in judgement over his creations isn't really your place.

Whose twisted god ordered that? What demented version of god created beings only to condemn them?

It's called the doctrine of false, liberal theology. The Bible speaks about it. False preachers winning a following by telling sinners they can continue in their sin and still be within the Will of God.

Again, I know people who became brothers (or sisters) by this custom. They are taking each other as brothers/sisters only. In the cases I know, they marry other people. This custom has nothing to do with perverted American notions of sex. Stop trying to twist things around to fit your notions of politically correct pop culture.
I am not suggesting that Ruth and Naomi were lovers--only that it is a stretch to take this particular piece and apply it to marriage--which we do frequently. Further, the actions of these two women flew in the face of the family-building customs of the time--something to think about.

No they are not! If I didn't like homosexuality I wouldn't make people gay. It's pretty simple. The fact of the matter is that I made everybody fabulous. Everybody is also bisexual. A lot of you choose to swing one way or the other and that's OK, but I don't mind if you want to play both ends of the floor. In fact, I prefer it.

Much to my chagrin, Christians like to think that Jesus was my son and that he had some special message. He wasn't and he didn't. He was just one of many who was tired of the Jewish church taking advantage of Imperial rule. I liked him and we talk from time to time. The funny thing is, even if you want to worship him, which he didn't want and I don't much care for. That being said, he's pretty liberal. He talked a lot about minding the mote in your eye and turning the other cheek. He liked gays. He was gay. Why do you think he had his diciples "eat" him?

I have certainly seen a whole lot of that. Mostly it has nothing to do with homosexuality, though. It's amazing how little time Christ devoted to issues regarding sex and how much more to issues regarding distribution of wealth, relationship to God, forgiveness and allowing God to judge, uplifting of persecuted groups, even relationships to the government and political reality.

And I don't see how anyone spewing such hate and prejudice can call themselves a CHRISTIAN.
Christianity has been perverted and distorted for nearly 2,000 years. Congratulations - you're valiantly and successfully carrying on that tradition.
Remember that Christ taught acceptance and love of all, and non-judgment. Some of us were paying attention to the real stuff in Sunday School and left the hate-filled rhetoric behind.
You can call it hate and prejudice if you want, but I have to agree with oink on this one. Saying you disagree with something is not hate. I totally disagree with same-sex marriages and those who practice homosexuality. God says it's wrong in the Bible! How can you say you were paying attention to the real stuff? The real stuff is what the Bible says and the bible is inerrant, and it says homosexuality is wrong. It sounds like you should start reading your Bible again. Yes, we should love homosexuals, but we cannot ordain them in the church when they are willingly and publicly doing something that goes against the Bible.

Yes he did speak on loving and uplifting people, but he did speak against same-sex marriages so it must've been important to him or he wouldn't have mentioned it. Everything in the Bible is to be taken seriously, not just certain parts!

So how do you explain Sodom and Gomorrah? God destroyed that city because there were people that were having gay relations. You think Gay is alright, You argue with God.(by the way, God will win, he always does!)

Get a Bible and please read it. It's called Sodom and Gomorrah. There were homosexuals in the city so God destroyed it. Get your facts straight.

You haven't even read the Bible. If you had read it, you would have come to the Book of Samuel, where The Bible uses the union of two MEN to define marriage.
Marriage occurs when the souls of two people become knit as one and they make a covenant with God as their witness. The earliest example of this definition came from the Bible and became the standard for marriage vows still in use today:
__________
From the Old Testament:
1 Samuel 18:1>"...the soul of Jonathan was knit with the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own soul."
1 Samuel 18:3-4>"And Jonathan made a covenant with David because he loved him as himself. Jonathan took off the robe he was wearing and gave it to David, along with his tunic, and even his sword, his bow and his belt."
1 Samuel 20:41>"After the boy had gone, David got up from the south side of the stone and bowed down before Jonathan three times, with his face to the ground. Then they kissed each other and wept together until David exceeded."
__________
Jonathan and David's marriage lasted 15 years and ended when Jonathan was killed in battle:(till death they were parted)
__________
From the Old Testament:
2 Samuel 1:26>"I grieve for you, Jonathan my brother; you were very dear to me. Your love for me was wonderful, more wonderful than that of women."
__________
David was God's favorite person so God makes sure Jonathan and David's marriage is in every Bible ever printed including yours
http://www.gaychristian101.com/Jonathan-And-D...
Read it and learn about love.
Okay, so this is really screwed up. David and Jonathan were best friends, not a couple. Jonathan loved David as his own brother that is why he saved him from his father and gave up the throne to him. Just to let you know, love doesn't always mean sexual/physical attraction love, it means brotherly love, caring for eachother. Look it up in the original translation. It doesn't mean what your twisting it up to be.
