I wouldn't be surprised to read that Goldman Sachs was behind this because they want to become the only charity case allowed.

Maybe the Salvation Army needs a blinking light or something just slight less annoying than that bell.

Gosh, I bet he was one of those little kiddies who never got what he wanted for Christmas and now resents the reminder of it.
Maybe if Salvation Army could try and help the man, it might make him a new person.

I lived in California for 30 years , born and raised in Ohio for 17 years . I have in Calif. seen some crimes and bunk-o crimes that are unbelievable , while living there I brag about Ohio how decent and the morality people had and instill in their children , But since I return in these last few years it's like a flue virus spreading crime and it's sicking shameful some of the things that people do . I know times change but people do not change so ugly has the things that are being done . In Calif. you can get kill with 20 / 80 witnesses seeing who done it , but they will not try to help or even I.D. the person or persons that done it , people are just so cold there , not caring , compassionate at all you really have to watch your back . And this is coming from a person that live in upper class Manhatten Beach Ca. The Buckeyes need to really reclaim their state and try to at less get the ugly of crime out .
Love Ohio Always

"for a good cause?" The Salvation Army is an ultra-conservative religious group with a stated goal to push their religion on people. I'm all for helping the less fortunate but let's keep religion out of it.

The problem with keeping religion out of it is that you lose alot of people donating time and money, because of their religion. you should hang out with the goofy broad from Powell that claims the thug that stold the money did it because of religion.

I see no connection to this situation. Regardless of what their spiritual doctrine and views are, they are in fact helping people who are desperately in need of assistance. Whether that needy person is a Christian or not is irrelevant to Salvation Army, nor is it a prerequisite for getting assistance. You comment was uncalled for, based on assumption and prejudice. And I hope you never find yourself in a situation where YOU need assistance. But should you ever, be assured Salvation Army will be there for you NO MATTER WHO YOU ARE!

Go start your atheist donation, and I will stay away from those. Will that make you feel more equal? It's not even about religion...it's about a very lame man STEALING donations. Get your head outta your a**. Not everything has to go back to religion/race.

I'm not at all religious, nor do I care to have somebody impose their religious viewpoints on me. But seriously -- it's the Salvation Army. If somebody wants to raise money to help the less fortunate, I couldn't care less if they were Christian, Buddhist, Muslim, or atheist. The money still goes for a good cause, doesn't it? Religion is a positive influence when it is used to spur caring and compassion for your fellow human beings. Religion is only bad when it is used as a tool to justify violence, greed, control, or oppression. I fail to see how the Salvation Army promotes the latter. You may not agree with their religious viewpoints, but that doesn't mean the money isn't going towards a good cause. Let's not throw the baby out with the bathwater. Not to mention the fact that stealing is wrong, especially stealing from a charity, no matter what church you attend (or don't attend). It's common sense, people! Of course, common sense is a bit of an oxymoron these days.
