He should have shot the scum! Way to go idiot. You just stole money from a group that is trying to give money to folks who truly need help, but you couldn't go through proper channels to get help, instead you decided to steal.

What a way to start off the holiday season with a true Grinch who has to steal from a charity. If you didn't like the bell ringing, use ear plugs. I'm sure that we will hear more about people stealing Salvation Army kettles.

I say they just start posting a plain clothes officer or CCW member of the salvation army near the kettles. When one of these scumbags tries to do the same, put one in his ass and call the cops. They have a nice three course meal while wearing an orange jump suit and have bubba or large Larry sing Christmas carols to them while they grab their ankles.

How pathetic do you have to be to steal from a charity??

As for wearing ear plugs that is just dumb! The bell ringing is annoying and you shouldn't have to wear ear plugs just to go shopping! They need to find a better way to collect donations. They are outside of almost every store...earplugs...your an idiot! Let's go shopping...does everyone have their ear plugs? moron!

Or people could just politely say "no thanks" or "I already donated, thanks" to the bell ringers.

I do admit some of them can be openly hostile to you if you don't put change in their kettle going in and out of the store.

Donations - a voluntary gift (as of money or service or ideas) made to some worthwhile cause; act of giving in common with others for a common purpose especially to a charity

Key word is voluntary so don't try and force folks to donate through intimidation, harassment, or guilt.

As if anybody could be intimidated by the person ringing a bell for charity donations. What a nation of wussies we've become. Always so much drama!! All you have to do is say. "NO". I'm sure they won't follow you to your car (or your home) and seek revenge. It's not like you're on High Street accosted by one of many panhandlers/ Last week one of them asked me for a dollar so he could buy a drink. I gave him the money and then followed him. He asked me why I was following him and I said I wanted to make sure he didn't buy a bowl of soup! LOL

Hahaha actually Just say No I had a large black gentleman who was a bell ringer once actually verbally berate me in front of a department store once because I didn't give him any money for the kettle.

I know these are few and far in between, but some of them don't take kindly to the word "no"

According to the Associated Press, "Police arrested Shawn Krieger of Toledo on Monday morning and charged him with robbery. The bell ringer chased him into a store parking lot before he tossed the kettle into the back of a stolen pickup truck and sped away, police said."
A stolen kettle tossed into a stolen truck. There's more to this story than just a Grinch.

What will his excuse be? Let me guess he is a good guy and was going back to church and going to college and had to rob to make ends meet to feed all his kids right? He is a product of his environment right?

The government forced him to take that kettle of money and that pick up truck right?

He can't be held personally responsible! Right?

I once wondered why God would send His Son into this evil world to suffer and die. I have seen enough of human nature revealed and the depths of its depravity in my lifetime to convince me that something very drastic has to happen to change the way a person thinks and behaves.

This world is filled with hate, violence, self gratification, greed, avarice, corruption, jealousy, envy,--you name it.

Only God can change the human heart. Let's celebrate why God cared enough for lost mankind to leave the best expression of his compassion, love and forgiveness in a lowly manger for all His sheep who go astray.

Now, my prayer is that the Spirit of God will pursue this thief like the "Hound of Heaven" until he finds no rest for his warped soul until he has an encounter with God.

I would have been happy to arrange an encounter with God for this thief if I had been the kettle ringer that day.:-)
