Development Briefs for 1/22
The town won a regional grant this month that will lead to $1 million in pedestrian, bicycling, park and streetscape improvements to downtown. Town staff learned the Charlotte Regional Transportation Planning Organization was awarding $1.2 million from the federal government for grants that would pay for alternative transportation projects.

Why would Waxhaw need federal money for anything? Who pays for this? The people who live here and local government should be paying the bills.
