Post the link again and let the rebs vote.
But the video has "nothing" specific to do with Yankees.

I believe that's the second time some dumb Johnny Reb posted it.

I also notice every dumb southerner always makes the claim that Yankees are rude. They're like wind up dolls, just pull the string and they regurgitate the same line over and over again.

Quip pro quo I guess.
I posted the video because it was funny and shows how you can have ignorance anywhere and the comments were funny. I did not title it. I did not pin point an accent and proclaim someone stupid because of it. I don’t hate anyone or anything. I am not defensive of where I live or care about ignorant statement from others who don’t know me personally. I have lived North, South, and west of this US of A and personally think classifying people as a whole based on where they live is quite silly and comes from teaching hate and judgment on others we don’t know to our children. I have also heard what you call a southern or NYC accent all the way from California to Main so that makes no sense to me either. Home is where you make it not where you were born. So if you think I was making a jab at Yankee’s your wrong. I am a Yankee fan (baseball that is).

Feelings of hate have a lot more to do with the hater than the object or person hated. The anger associated with hate can be used to mask feelings of rage, jealousy, abandonment, frustration, or ignorance. It really is a defense mechanism for the emotionally and spiritually immature and unfortunately there is a lot of it out there.

Another lying rebel. You posted it (just as it has been posted before) in an attempt to deflect the ignorant southerner stereotype onto the people of the north.

Your ploy failed just as it failed in 1861, when you got your arse handed to you by President Lincoln and the US government.

Here's the deal. Many black people find the Confederate flag offensive. Totally understandble.
Many white people see the flag as a symbol of respect for fallen confederate veterans, who were fighting for any number of reasons, not just slavery. Perhaps a symbol of southern pride.
I respect both positions and we all should too. As a symbol, its obviously polarizing and should not be placed on official government property or used as a state symbol.
We have to respect that black people find it offensive, but out of that same respect, I would hope that black people would understand that it is not always intended as symbol of hatred toward them, or as a symbol of racism for those people.
I have lived in the south my whole life, and have seen all sides to this issue, the good and the bad. The division that continues to divide us all is sad... A little understanding by all parties would go a long way.
Then it's okay to show respect for Nazi symbols?
Wake up dumb dumb. The confederacy was used in an attempt to destroy the US republic. All these myths about southern pride and states rights are just fantasy.
The Confederacy was a traitorous bunch of racists looking to do the bidding for the British Empire masters.

In President Lincoln’s first inaugural address, he said, "I have no purpose, directly or indirectly, to interfere with the institution of slavery in the states where it exists. I believe I have no lawful right to do so."

During the war, in an 1862 letter to the New York Daily Tribune editor Horace Greeley, Lincoln said, "My paramount object in this struggle is to save the Union, and it is not either to save or destroy slavery."

The war of 1861 also known as the War of Nothern Aggression was not at all just about slavery. It was miniscule of what Lincoln was trying to achieve. The absolute truth in the war was for states to have their own laws and for big government(the Union) to stay out.

Seems like we are headed in the same direction with this bunch of socialist we have in Washington today!

Doofus,
Lincoln knew that if the United States was fractured into pieces by the British that "slavery" would exist everywhere in the world.

Without preserving the republic first there would be no chance of ending slavery.

PS- Lincoln did end the ugly institution of slavery. Like most people you have no idea what the Civil War was all about. You don't even know it was a British operation to destroy the United States and re colonize it under their Empire.

Honest Abe on the other hand knew exactly who and what he was up against.

Abraham Lincoln as "The Great Emancipator". True, slavery was ended after his era, and he did issue the Emancipation Proclamation. The Emancipation Proclamation did not do what many people think. It freed the slaves in the states in the south. It did nothing for slaves on the Union's side. YES!!! there were slaves on the Union's side. So how did this free slaves?

Ok for all you Dumbasses that want to add to what Lincoln says, this is his exact quote's:

Ol Abe almost sounds a little racist, hmm.

"I have no purpose to introduce political and social equality between the white and black races. There is a physical difference between the two, which, in my judgment, will probably forever forbid their living together upon the footing of perfect equality; and inasmuch as it becomes a necessity that there must be a difference, I ... am in favor of the race to which I belong having the superior position." ---Abraham Lincoln.

Slaves or no slaves:

"My paramount object in this struggle is to save the Union, and is not either to save or to destroy slavery. If I could save the Union without freeing any slave, I would do it; and if I could save it by freeing all the slaves, I would do it; and if I could do it by freeing some and leaving others alone, I would also do that.." ---Abraham Lincoln.

Now that being said I don't give a rats ass what you think he ment to say, or what he was trying to do blah blah blah. All we have is history to go by, and this was ol' Honest Abe's actual words....live with it.

The proclamation itself freed all the slaves in the states in rebellion, or the states in the confederacy. This did not include the slave states in the Union. Unlike what a lot of people believe, the Emancipation Proclamation did not actually free the slaves. It only confirmed the slaves beliefs that the war was being fought to free them. It also announced that the Union would accept black men into the army.

You know it sounds horrible to think that Lincoln would free the slaves just so they could fight for his agenda of big government. Hmm, weird. Let us abolish slavery only in the rebellion states, and keep their slaves to fight against them. While the union still kept their slaves to do slave work.

Lincoln used the slaves for his political advantage. Yeah thats right! Lincoln was against slavery, but he was still racist. He used them as pawns, and after the war a lot of slaves were left to starve, and many went back to their southern plantations for food and shelter. And we gave it to them. So who was really the wrong one in ths war?

Frederick Douglas speaks about Abraham Lincoln.

I have said that President Lincoln was a white man, and shared the prejudices common to his countrymen towards the colored race. Looking back to his times and to the condition of his country, we are compelled to admit that this unfriendly feeling on his part may be safely set down as one element of his wonderful success in organizing the loyal American people for the tremendous conflict before them, and bringing them safely through that conflict. His great mission was to accomplish two things: first, to save his country from dismemberment and ruin; and, second, to free his country from the great crime of slavery. To do one or the other, or both, he must have the earnest sympathy and the powerful cooperation of his loyal fellow-countrymen. Without this primary and essential condition to success his efforts must have been vain and utterly fruitless. Had he put the abolition of slavery before the salvation of the Union, he would have inevitably driven from him a powerful class of the American people and rendered resistance to rebellion impossible. Viewed from the genuine abolition ground, Mr. Lincoln seemed tardy, cold, dull, and indifferent; but measuring him by the sentiment of his country, a sentiment he was bound as a statesman to consult, he was swift, zealous, radical, and determined.

Though Mr. Lincoln shared the prejudices of his white fellow-countrymen against the Negro, it is hardly necessary to say that in his heart of hearts he loathed and hated slavery....[FOOTNOTE:``I am naturally anti-slavery. If slavery is not wrong, nothing is wrong. I cannot remember when I did not so think and feel.'' Letter of Lincoln to Mr. Hodges, April 4, 1864.] The man who could say,``Fondly do we hope, fervently do we pray, that this mighty scourge of war shall soon pass away, yet if God wills it continue till all the wealth piled by two hundred years of bondage shall have been wasted, and each drop of blood drawn by the lash shall have been paid for by one drawn by the sword, the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether,'' gives all needed proof of his feeling on the subject of slavery. He was willing, while the South was loyal, that it should have its pound of flesh, because he thought that it was so nominated in the bond; but farther than this no earthly power could make him go.

After the war slaves were left to starve? Lest I remind you, after the war Lincoln was assasinated by the same Confederate/British devils he had just defeated on the battle field.
His reconstruction program for the inferior south was never carried out in full. It was prevented by the same people who tried to destroy the United States.

Stupidity seems to be the only enduring Southern tradition.

Who was it supplied the free coloureds the weapons to go on rampage in Memphis in 1866? If you guessed the bluecoats, you guessed right. Those of you spouting off about Britain using slavery and the CSA to breakup the U.S.A., you sure do not know British history. Parliament abolished slavery and the slave trade years before South Carolina seceded. Don't talk about another country's history unless you know that country's history. There are instances and recorded incidents about bluecoat atrocities against their beloved Southern neighbours. Oh, how the bluecoats and the federal government loved their Southern neighbours and cousins, love that destroyed a lot of innocent people, both black and white. How do I know? I have it in print. Oh, I know. It is a pack of lies written by Southerners and published by Southerners. You are partially correct about the written by Southerners. One book I have was written by a woman from Mt. Airy, North Carolina and her husband from, oops, from Nebraska. Which of the 11 Confederate states is Nebraska. Hmmm. I tell you what. You people keep trying to complete the task, started in the 19th century, of destroying the Southern culture and let the moslems sneak their culture in on you while you are keeping checks and tabs on us Southerners. We are not your enemies. The ragheads are. To tell the difference between them and us, they are the ones with the turbans, hence the name ragheads. Do I need to explain anymore? The danger is in D.C. You elected one of them. Don't look for the enemy in Deep Gap, North Carolina. One just come out of a coma at Fort Hood, Texas. The commonwealth of Virginia executed one of them at the prison in Jarratt, VA this week. I am not your enemy. The rag heads are. Have a blessed day and look for any greycoats that might be sneaking around your neighbourhood but don't bother the ragheads. Bothering a moslem is discrimination.

Here is a scene from "Gods and Generals" that shows that dirty rotten Freemasonic Rebel SOB Stonewall Jackson taking his last filthy breath.
Notice his casget as not draped with the AMERICAN flag....Notice how there is no AMERICAN flag in the procession as it approches VMI.
It sickens me that a State University like VMI even today makes its students salute a statue of Stonewall Jackson. That is as bad as making them salute Hitler or Osama.
http://www.youtube.com/watch...
The Confederate flag is a flag from a group that wanted to be a separate country that was beat in the civil war. It's no different than people from other countries coming here and still displaying their native country's flag. You can view the flag as hatred or pride but either way you view it, the confederate flag is still yet and will always be part of American history. I do agree with someone that made the point that if the confederate flag can't be displayed, then any other item portraying an image from history should not be allowed to be displayed.
