I personally believe that they are trying their very best, but unfortunately I highly doubt that they will make it to playoffs and even if so, it won't last...

The problem is molina. He developed his game plan around the weak teams he was beating. There is no reason a QB should have been getting more carries than a RB. Dallas is a good back. Gabe is a decent QB. Everyone thought he was unstoppable after beating teams they should have beaten. Fast forward to ingleside and sinton and we all saw the result. Rockport has a good game plan and we will see how molina adjusts. Don't get me wrong, I am by no means knocking the kids efforts, they are just running the crap this coach is calling. Loser stays home, winner is in the playoffs. Can't wait to see the result

wft, you said it exactly right. The kids can only execute what is instructed. And the second string should have been practicing right along with the first. They so never played until they went up against Ingleside. They went out in the field with a deer in the headlights look. They didn't know what to do. Is it the kids fault, absolutely not. The Coach definitely needs to make some changes. He said straight up "I focus on the 1st string". Well what happens when the first string is hurt on the sidelines.... Then what. All the kids need to play. Sinton had Mathis's plays pinned after the first quarter.

Kilby was one game away from a state title with mathis how soon ppl 4get..mathis would of probably won state if they had him coaching this yr even sosa bc they had great group of players tht can ball but instead bring in a new coach with a new program smart..so now mathis can sit at home along with kilby lol..

1-9 could be why the other coach is gone on down the road. I'm just reflecting on what was said on the Lockhart Topix on who liked him and who didn't. Two year contracts will get a coach real quick if he's hired to turn things around and things don't turn around.

Did I just read correctly. Mathis started out 7-0 and missed didn't make the playoffs? That's funny, I remember last year when they hired this molina clown, people were already praising him. He came to mathis with a 2-9 record, after getting FIRED from his last head coaching job. Head coach material, no. Assistant, maybe.

not even that. a finger puppet on casas hand more like it. so what was ever the outcome of the threat letter she got? did she write it herself or have someone do it for her?

This Casas must not be to bright at selecting personnel. I understand that a former superintendent who was run off from the Caldwell County area made to a finalist list for asst. super. there in Mathis. I mean this guy was sent home and told his paychecks would be in the mail. His contract was terminated three months later.

But the point is he couldn't cut it finding another super. positon, even though there are about 40 openings. Here he is getting close to being hired for ASST. SUPER. and he can't even get back into super. office somewhere.

Who's checking up on past performance of these new hires in Mathis?

This is quite upsetting when Mathis has qualified people here and that won't just come in take the money and run. Mathis always seems to get the leftovers. We always pick some real winners.

That Molina coach sucks and only cares about his reputation. I hope you find someone better than this man. The boys deserve a better coach!!!
