Do you approve of Sheila Kessler as Mayor?

Shelia kessler is the mayor we have had in years, she built the town of matewan back to where it is on its feet, shes had a lot of problems out of the local business down there defaming her telling stuff that isn't true, she fixed it so you can walk downt o the river there, and has all this four wheeling stuff taking place, you can come to town and a least park there out back . you people just need to get up off her and its the same ones on here running their mouths. If your business is failing its your own faults, cry baby cry you people act like she personally owes you something, she does what she can and her hands are tied in case you don't know it, she just don't act along she has a panel of people who help decide, Shes got my vote and i think shelia really don't like me but i am big enough to at least tell the truth about it. Sstop being a hater, she at least trys to be professional in her job capacity. Stop drinking stop crying on here and go back to where you come from, matewan is not your town cry babies and shelia is a good mayor, ole forest you know who you are

The redevelopment authority and mike whitt got the trail system started and the corp built the floodwall. her and the council's job is the keep the weeks cut, but, like i said earlier, you cant even walk down to the water for the weeds and snakes. shes not very personable or friendly

sheila kessler has the title of mayor, she has not done a thing in the or for the town since she has been in office. as far as the town being on its feet, this is a real good joke. the town can t do anything for its self without borrowing monies from some where else. i seen the town do with out because they didn t have the monies to do anything. the local business people defaming her, no its the other way around she put the business people down and out of business. she had nothing to do with the walk ways down t o the river or the flood wall or trail system in town, this is something else done before she got into office. mike whitt helped to put the trail head in town. yes she does have a panel of people to help her decide what goes on in town, but they are like puppets on a string what ever she says they just agree to it to get it over with. whom ever wrote this is a good friend of sheila's or just plainly wants pity, well you ll never get pity from sheila kessler. she cares about no one but her self, being proffessional is another joke. she won t even go into town to see what she can try to get done in the town, she won t listen to the people and if something does get done she takes the credit. go back where we are from, think about it you don t know the town well enouh to post on this site and you re saying go back home.i was raised around matewan and the past 7 years is the worst i have ever seen it to be. she needs to be replaced before the county commission or the state takes the over, then you will be sorry. all the utiliy rates will rise and all the costs will come from the tax payers, so think before yoy talk.

I drove past Matewan the other day. It's pathetic. Sick little excuse of a town. Do your children a favor and pack up and move the F out man. God knows you don't want them to grow up knowing how to sniff a roxie and smoke cigarettes before they hit puberty... And if you keep them in Mingo County you can trust thats just what they will do. Some places in this world are just made to drive through not live in. And I have to say Matewan is one of those shithole places. Well I was forcefully uprooted from Mingo County. I never wanted to leave in the first place. I like the area, Geographically Speaking that is. I love mountains and was born on the one up there where the old Williamson Memorial used to be. But my mom was introduced to this dude from NC who is by all means a conservative dick head. But hey man whatever she wants. My dad died when I was 13 and my uncle died a year and half later. I lived with him for a year after my dad died because my mom would always flip out on my and wouldn't let me smoke herb. I remember one time coming home from school and she said you ready, I said for what? She said were going to the hospital and getting your pee checked for drugs. Well needless to say I had been chewing up Soma that day in class. And smoked a doober before I caught Roy Damrons bus. I failed my urine screening, and my mom was like your just like your daddy Rick. You'll be dead before your 20, here I stand 27 and still smoking. So I don't know man. Then my moms sister introduced her to the dude from NC and my life pretty much went downhill from there. They took all they money from an account where I was supposed to get like 10 G's and put me in this inhouse intensive recovery rehab program for teenagers. It was a pretty cool place and I must say I "grew up" there. I stayed as long as I could and failed a milestone in the program just to stay longer.
Back to the subject tho. If I lived in Mingo County now. I know I would be in the cell across from Porgie for shooting someone. Down inside my heart I know it doesn't feel good to take someone's life. And everybody knows everybody and went to school with them, what if I was to shoot and kill an old friend that tried to test me? I might feel some empathy for what I did. I got kids and well wanna raise em. Not send them letters from Porgies new address. So I choose to live here, and be seen there only when wanted. So I don't know much else to say besides, I understand the strong feelings towards the place. It's my home still and if I returned I'd assume my mantle as King of Red Jacket and the Holler People's. That day may come, sooner than later. I don't know yet. I bred awfully young, I'll only be 40 when my kids are grown up. Really I want to blow up and have the old gradeschool concrete made into a small Castle. And have like 15 Rottweilers patrolling and protecting my grounds. I might try to purchase that land from the Kiwana's Club or whoever owns it. That creek in the back there is pretty cool. I used to play in that creek from the start of Newtown to the train bridge over there by the Y. So if you like it stay there lol. I was just trying to hurt someone's feelings.

i dont think she should b mayor again.. she cant keep her shit together at the bank let alone keep a whole county or town running smooth. my mom and dad financed their house through the bank where she works and shes got their payments screwed up and tried to make my dad pay two extra payments and just so happen dad had his receipts and didnt have to pay anymore. she prob just wanted to pocket the money for new high heels or to have her nails done.
