Let's not forget about players from the 1994 team (first team since 1955 to make it to state tournament). That was the best team from top of the line up to botttom hands down! Michael Goff, David Starr, Richard Mahon, Gary Goad, Gerald Pack, Lee O'Brien, Eric Kennedy to name a few. The Goad kid was probably the best pitcher that Matewan had up to the point. He was wasn't a power pitcher, but man, was he smart! Was like a Greg Maddox only in high school!

Seems we've always had good players and we were pretty dominant in the area during late 80s and early 90s. Rocky Church, Rodney Bentley, Scotty Hamilton, Phillip Goff and Arthur Hinkle were great players. Jody Goad didn't have power but was steady allaround. Todd Hurley killed the ball

AnybodY heard anything about an all-time by position? Like best catcher, shortstop, etc? I'd like Blake Sr's opinion on this one -- he saw em all!
