Review: K M Pools

Do not use this company! They closed and then opened the pool back up in the spring. There were leaks in a PVC fitting. I called them - they sent someone over and sent me a bill. There were still leaks. I called them and they were back again and sent me another bill. I asked why do I need to pay twice and they told me it was a different leak, even though it was leaking from the same place! Anyways, there were still leaks after both visits. I called another company who came over and fixed the leak. They told me that K&M didn't close the pool properly and the valve froze and cracked.

Not happy with company. I had them replace my old liner which nothing was wrong with it but wanted a new one after several years. After the first season when I opened my pool again I saw several wrinkles in it. I called them back to observe pool, they said it was the water tablet. Well I had no problem before with old liner and now ever since its getting worse and worse, which its causing the pool to wrinkle more and now I am loosing water. After 3 years with this liner my pool is getting destroyed.

They rebuilt my pool a few years ago and did a terrible job. Had to get the liner redone last summer (less than seven years later) and every contractor who came by commented on the poor workmanship and lack of attention to best practices. Wouldn't recommend this company to anyone.

Please tell us who you are so we can respond to your Comment. It is it NOT the policy of K&M Pools to do poor work. If you had an issue with the work we would like to know what that issue was.

The problem with social media like this one is people can post anything whether it is true or not. When a contractor performs a job and then the homeowner doesn't comply with the maintenance instructions why is the contractor's fault that the job failed? Or a contractor performs a service one time and gets blamed for everything regardless if it was part of the performed service? Another reason people tend to post negative posts is then they don't pay for their service and the company places them in collections. When posts are made with no names (so the contractor has no way of responding to the post) people should not put any value on the post. When a negative post is made, the homeowner should check out the contractor's website and the Better Business Bureau. Another mistake homeowner's make in posts is not using the correct contractor's name -- several contractor's have similar name.
